The official admission notice of JEE Main 2017 has been announced by CBSE. According to the notification, the computer based test will be held on April 8 and 9, 2017. The online exam will only be for Paper I, which is for B.Tech and B.E courses. Paper II, for B.Arch and B.Planning courses, is a Pen and Paper based exam. The offline exam for both Paper I and Paper II will be held on April 2, 2017.
The Application Process for JEE Main 2017 will start from December 1, 2016. At the time of filling up the form, the candidates will be allowed to submit their preference for exam centre and the mode in which they wish to write the exam.
Aspirants must ensure their JEE Main 2017 Eligibility as per the criteria laid down by CBSE, before applying for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main). As per the new JEE Main norms, the process of normalisation has been scrapped. However, it is mandatory for candidates to secure 70% in the qualifying exam or be positioned among he top 20 percentilers.
Residents of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Nagaland, Uttarakhand and Odisha must fill JEE Main 2017 Application Form because the UG engineering admission in the state will only be done on the basis of JEE Main scores.

The Paper I of JEE Main will also be an eligibility test for the JEE Advanced 2017. The Advanced examination will be held on May 21, 2017, for the intake of candidates in IITs/ ISM Dhanbad.
