The online exam of JEE Main 2017 begins on April 8. The computer based JEE Main 2017 exam to be conducted for two days April 8 and 9, in different slots if required. The online exam of JEE Main 2017 is conducted at various testing centres across India and likely to be taken by 1, 83,640 candidates. Most of the candidates who took the exam said that the overall exam was of moderate in difficulty level. The questions of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics were on similar level of difficulty as JEE Main 2017 paper based exam held on April 2.
Amit Kumar who appeared in JEE Main 2017 in online exam from Delhi found difficulty level of the exam to be moderate and overall paper was as per the syllabus. He said, “The exam was good and hope to secure good marks. The Physics section was the easiest, followed by Chemistry and Mathematics. I am happy with my performance as Chemistry section was also easier”.
Aditya Kumar another candidate who took JEE Main 2017 computer based exam from Delhi found questions were moderate in terms of difficulty. He said “The overall paper was of moderate level. However, the Mathematics section was a bit difficult and tricky. ”
The score obtained in JEE Main 2017 will be basis for admission to 24,000 undergraduate engineering seats in 31 NITs, 20 IIITs and 18 GFTIs. Also, JEE Main 2017 score will be the basis for selection of 2,20,000 for appearing in JEE Advanced 2017 scheduled to be held on May 21 for admission to around 11000 B.Tech seats in 23 IITs.
After the completion of the examination, various coaching institutes may release JEE Main online answer key 2017. Coaching institutes prepare the answer key of JEE Main 2017 of online exam based on the memory and feedback collected from candidates. These answers are based on memory and assumptions which may vary from the original questions asked in the exam.
With the help of the answer key candidates can calculate their JEE Main score and know their chances for admission to the NITs, IIITs and GFITs or for appearing in JEE Advanced. The official answer of JEE Main 2017 will be released by CBSE on April 18, 2017.
The result along with the All India Rank of JEE Main 2017 will be released on April 27, 2017. Thereafter, the counselling will be conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) for allocating seats to the qualified candidates in the month of July.
