JCECE 2017 Eligibility Criteria
Before filling in the Application Form of JCECE 2017 candidates must fulfil the eligibility norms given below to appear in the entrance test.
There are no restrictions in age for B.Tech courses that are there is no maximum or minimum age requirements. The policy determination for issuing Local Resident certificate for admission in Educational Institutes has been laid down in the notification Memo
The Board recommends each candidate to be medically fit. Medical Checkup will be conducted by the conducting body for admission. The selection will be done by the Board/Institution after the check up. Only physically fit and eligible candidates will be given admission to various courses.
The candidates with the disability will be considered only if they have 40% disability with low vision or hearing or locomotors disability/cerebral palsy or all of them be together and whose lower part of the body as well the upper part is disabled with 40%.
The applicant must be a citizen of India and Local or Permanent resident of Jharkhand. A candidate has to submit the Permanent or Local Resident certificate in proper format in Original at the time of JCECE 2017 Counselling, issued by the competent authority such as Sub Divisional Officer (Civil) or Dy. Commissioner of Jharkhand State. No other certificate from any other authority will be considered for admission.
For the B.Tech candidates who have passed the Class 12th Standard or I.Sc or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as core subjects along with Chemistry as a subject.
For Bachelor in Engineering (B.E) candidates who have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics as an optional subject can appear in Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE) 2017 by selecting their subject as PCMB (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Biology) for appearing in the JCECE 2017.
The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has also made the Aadhaar card compulsory for applicants who are willing to appear for JCECE 2017. The registration is expected to start from the 3rd week of April 2017. All the candidates applying for JCECE 2017 must ensure that they have an Aadhaar card before applying for the entrance test.
