IPU CET PG 2017IPU CET PG 2017 Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) will be conducting IPU Common Entrance Test (CET) PG on May 6, 13, and 14, 2017. It will be held for the intake of candidates in M.Tech courses offered by the University and colleges affiliated to it. There are 8 M.Tech specialisation exams under IPU CET. Candidates will have to choose the specialisation while submitting the application form, which released on February 15, 2017. The last date to apply for GGSIPU CET PG 2017 is April 18, 2017. The Admit Card for the IPU CET M.Tech 2017, for each specialisation of M.Tech, will be issued a week before the exam date. The score and rank of the candidates will be announced on May 30, 2017. IPU CET PG 2017 Important Dates

The important dates of IPU CET PG 2017 are mentioned in the table below. It should be noted that the date for the release of admit card is tentative. It is mentioned that it will be issued a week before the examination. Hence, it has been determined tentatively.

IPU CET PG 2017 Application Form

The last date to submit the IPU CET PG Application Form 2017 for few specialisation is different. Hence, candidates must ensure that they submit the form before the lapse of the deadline. The process for submitting the application form is as below:

  • Click on the link provided above.
  • Submit Personal Details like Name, Parents Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Address, Exam applied for, etc.
  • Before moving on to next step, the candidates will also have to upload photograph, signature, and thumb impression. Then, the candidates will have to click on the ‘Submit’ button.
  • After filling the personal details, candidates will have to submit educational details. The details of GATE, if any, are also to be submitted at this stage.
  • Lastly, candidates need to submit the application fee and take a printout of the confirmation page.

The application fee is Rs. 1000 and it can be submitted through Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking.


IPU CET PG 2017 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria to be fulfilled by the candidates, for receiving the admission is as below.

  • Candidate must have passed B.E/B.Tech with a minimum of 60% marks. Candidate should not be more than 35 years old.
  • Candidates who have passed AMIE/IETE may also apply.
  • Though the GATE qualifiers need not take the entrance examination. However, must have a valid GATE Scorecard and must fulfil the criteria above.

IPU CET PG 2017 Reservation of Seats

For Universities and Govt. Institutes located in NCT of Delhi For Institutes located Outside Delhi in NCR, excluding minority status institutes Self financing institute located in NCT of Delhi, excluding minority status institutes

85% of seats will be allocated for Delhi region and the reservation will be as below:

  • DSC – 15%
  • DST – 7.5%
  • Ddef – 5%
  • DPWD – 3%
  • DOBC – 27%

85% of seats (minus 10% quota seats) will be allocated for Delhi region and the reservation will be as below:

  • DSC – 17%
  • DST – 1%
  • DDef – 5%
  • DPWD – 3%

85% of seats (minus 10% quota seats) will be allocated for Delhi region and the reservation will be as below:

  • DSC – 15%
  • DST – 7.5%
  • Ddef – 5%
  • DPWD – 3%

15% of the seats will be allocated for outside Delhi region and the reservation will be as below.

  • ODSc – 15%
  • ODST – 7.5%

IPU CET PG 2017 Exam Centres

The IPU CET M.Tech entrance examination will only be held in Delhi. Apart from it, there is no other centre where the entrance examination will take place. The allocated venue of the exam, in the capital, will be informed through the admit card.


IPU CET PG 2017 Admit Card

The hall ticket of IPU CET M.Tech 2017 will be released a week before the examination. The candidates will just have to login by entering the Login ID and Password and the admit card can be downloaded from there.

After the login, only the successfully registered candidates will be able to download the admit card. If the application form and fee has been submitted but the candidates are not able to download their admit card then they must inform the University. Same should be done if there is any discrepancy in the admit card.


IPU CET PG 2017 Syllabus

The syllabus of IPU CET PG 2017 will vary for each stream. The candidates may check the syllabus of the examination by clicking on the heading of this paragraph. The syllabus is almost same as that of GATE 2017 and the candidates who have prepared well for any of the two examinations, will not struggle much to crack any of the two examinations.

IPU CET PG 2017 Sample Papers

The sample papers of GGSIPU CET PG 2017 is available online and offline. Candidates aiming to crack the exam should practise the sample papers. Doing so will provide a vivid idea of the questions paper and level of difficulty in the examination.


IPU CET PG 2017 Result

The result of IPU CET PG 2017 will be released on May 30, 2017. However, for the Robotics and Automation (RA) stream, it will be announced on May 23, 2017. The result will only be revealed online and the candidates may check it by accessing the link which will be provided on this page.

It should also be noted that the University will prepare two separate IPU CET PG 2017 Merit List. One will be for the GATE qualifiers, whereas, another one will be for IPU CET PG 2017 qualifiers.


IPU CET PG 2017 Counselling

  • First, the counselling for the GATE qualifiers will be held and later on for the IPU CET candidates.
  • The schedule of the counselling will be released after the announcement of the result.
  • To participate in the counselling, the candidates will have to register and pay the counselling fee.
  • The fee amount is Rs. 1000 and it can be paid via Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or e-challan of Indian Bank.
  • Once the fee is paid, the candidates will be allowed to submit the choices for the course and college.
  • On the basis of candidate’s rank and submitted choice, the seat will be allocated.
