IPU CET 2016 CutoffIPU CET 2016 Cutoff – The Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test was held under the direction of the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIU). The exam was the admission of qualified candidates into the various undergraduate engineering programs that were offered by the University and its affiliated colleges. The Common Entrance Test was held on 08 May 2016. As lakhs of candidates was to compete for a few seats, the University released IPU CET cutoff, as a benchmark, to shortlist the most qualified candidates. The IPU CET 2016 Cutoff that was declared along with the results of the entrance test was deciding factor for the level of performance that a candidate had furnished, in order to be considered further for the counselling and allotment process. While this standard benchmark that has been set by the University can be surpassed, it cannot be fallen short if candidates are to be considered for admissions to the various undergraduate engineering courses.

  • Candidates applied for admissions to the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIU) should note that the IPU CET 2016 Cutoff had a big role to play while determining their chances of admission to the University. The cutoff scores were the minimum requirement and candidates who failed to clear the cutoff have not been granted admission in counselling process.
  • The University compiled a separate Merit List which indicated the names of all the candidates who met the minimum cutoff that has been set by the University.

    The Merit list also reflected the rank secured by the candidate.

  • Candidates with a higher merit rank were at an advantage of being allotted a seat for admissions in the first rounds of counselling itself
