HPCET M.Tech 2017 Eligibility CriteriaHPCET M.Tech 2017 Eligibility Criteria – The Eligibility Criteria of HPCET M.Tech 2017 is a mandatory requirement for the candidates to satisfy. HPTU will not grant admission to ineligible candidates, under any circumstances. The eligibility of the candidates will be cross-checked during the document verification round. Yet, it is advised that the candidates ensure it before filling the application form because fee will not be refunded. Even the GATE Qualifiers will have to fulfil the Eligibility Criteria of HPCET M.Tech, in order to receive admission. HPCET M.Tech 2017 Eligibility Criteria

The Eligibility Criteria of HPCET M.Tech 2017 focuses on Education Qualification. As per it, the candidate must have:

  • Completed their B.Tech/B.E from a recognized college or university.
  • In the Bachelor’s course the minimum percentage of marks, obtained by the candidates should be 50%.
  • However, the required minimum marks for the candidates belonging to the reserved category is 45%.

Apart from the factors above, the GATE Qualifiers must fulfil the below mentioned requirements.

  • Candidates must have qualified GATE 2017.
  • The candidates should possess a valid GATE Scorecard.
  • The GATE must have been attempted for the relevant subject paper.

The HPCET M.Tech 2017 will be conducted in the following disciplines and the candidates must have written the mentioned GATE Subject Paper:

HPCET M.Tech 2017 Admission Criteria

The candidates must also check the admission criteria of Himachal M.Tech Admission 2017. It is as below:

For the GATE Qualifiers

  • The GATE Qualifiers need not write HPCET M.Tech 2017. They will be considered for the admission directly.
  • The seat to them will be allocated on the basis of GATE Scores.

For Non-GATE Qualifiers

  • The Counselling of HPCET M.Tech 2017 qualifiers will only be held if the seats will remain vacant after the counselling for the GATE qualifiers.
  • The seat will only be allocated to those candidates who will surpass the below mentioned cutoff.

  • If even after the seat allotment for the HPCET M.Tech qualifiers, the seats remain vacant the admission will be granted on the basis of marks in B.E/B.Tech.
  • The required percentage of the cutoff for admission via B.E/B.Tech scores are as mentioned below.

Note: The above mentioned factors are only the Eligibility Criteria of HPCET M.Tech 2017. The participating colleges might have different eligibility criteria for granting the admission. In all, there are 8 participating colleges of HPCET. Hence, candidates are to ensure the eligibility criteria of the respective college as well.
