HPCET 2017 Exam Pattern: The exam pattern of HPCET provides information about the format of the common entrance test defined by the conducting authority. HPCET 2017 Exam Pattern
Candidates who wish to apply for HPCET 2017 can check all the important features of the entrance test below:
Mode of Entrance Test: Candidates have to appear for the test in single offline mode i.e. it will be a Pen and Paper Based Test.
Language of the Question Paper: The medium of the language of the question paper will be in English.
Type of Questions: All the questions in the paper will be of objective type. Each question will have multiple choices. Out of the four given options, candidates have to choose one correct answer only.
Subject Combination: Candidates have to attempt questions from the following subjects:
Total Number of Questions: Candidates have to attempt a total number of 150 questions equally distributed among each section, i.e. 50 questions per section.
Total number of Marks: The maximum number of marks of the paper is 300.
- For every correct response, candidates will be awarded two mark.
- 0.5 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
- Candidates can skip a question if they are unsure of the response but if they choose more than one option per question, it will be considered as incorrect and candidates will be given negative marks.
Duration: Candidates will be given a time period of 3 hours to complete the entire paper.
