How to Fill JEE Main 2017 Application Form?How to fill JEE Main 2017 Application Form – JEE Main 2017 Application Form process has ended on January 16, 2017. CBSE has made available JEE Main 2017 Acknowledgement Page for download on January 24, 2017. Candidates must download the acknowledgement page by logging in with the Application Number of JEE Main 2017, Password and Security Pin in the space provided. After downloading it, the details must be checked and if any mistakes are found candidates can get it rectified in the Application Form Correction Window that will be made available from January 25, 2017. The last date to correct all the details in the filled in application form is February 3, 2017. However, no alteration can be made from CBT to P&P mode of examination during the correction facility. The Admit Card will be issued in the 2nd week of March 2017 to those candidates, who have submitted the application form correctly before the due date.

Requirements for Filling up JEE Main 2017 Application Form

Before filling up the application form, candidates should be ready with the following items:

  • Aadhaar Card/ Aadhaar Registration No. if candidates have just applied for an Aadhaar Card/ Registration No. given by CBSE facilitation Centre, in case, Aadhaar facility is not available in the facilitation centre.
  • Passport Number/Bank Account Number/Voter ID Card/Ration Card Number etc. (For Jammu & Kashmir, Assam, Meghalaya or candidates who are not Indian nationals)
  • A valid email ID and phone number
  • Documents of the qualifying examination.
  • Debit/ credit card, e-Challan details for payment of fees.
  • Valid password of 8-13 character, using at least one upper and lower case, numeric value and special character.
  • Scanned passport sized photograph, signature

Guidelines for Photograph, Signature and Password:

1 Photograph Photograph should be in jpg/jpeg format only with 3.5 cm(width) x 4.5 cm(Height) dimensions in a file of size 4 KB to 40KB
2 Signature Signature should be in jpg/jpeg format only with 3.5 cm(length) x 1.5 cm(Height) dimensions in a file of size 1 KB to 30KB
3 Password Password must be 8 to 13 character long.It must have at least one Upper case alphabet, one Lower case alphabet, one numeric value and one special characters eg.!@#$%^&*-.

Procedure to fill JEE Main 2017 Application Form

The entire Application Process of JEE Main 2017 will be done online with four stages, which are:

  • Registration
  • Fill the Application Form
  • Upload Scanned Images
  • Pay the Examination fee

To apply, candidates will have to click on the link above and then follow the steps below.

1. Registration: Fill Details in JEE Main 2017 Application Form

  • Nationality
  • State of Eligibility. Click here to know what your state of eligibility can be
  • State where Class 12th School / NIOS Study Center Located (For candidates belonging to Assam, Meghalaya and Jammu & Kashmir)
  • Identification Type – Aadhaar Card/ Aadhaar Enrolment No./ Registration No. issues by CBSE facilitation Centre for all Indian applicants. For candidates from Assam, Meghalaya, Jammu & Kashmir / OCI/ POI/ Foreign Other than OCI or PIO- Passport / Ration Card /Bank Account/ Other valid Govt ID No
  • Identification Number – This is the Aadhaar No or Aadhaar Registration No or the Registration No given by CBSE facilitation centres if there is no Aadhaar facility. Students from Assam, Meghalaya or Jammu & Kashmir or students of nationality other than Indian must enter their Passport No/  Ration Card no or a valid Govt Identification No. This should be entered with no spaces in between. 
  • Candidate’s Name

  • Enter security pin (Case sensitive)
  • Click on ‘Submit’ button

On the second page, candidates have to enter the following exam related details, personal information and academic details and contact details:

The system will generate the review page of JEE Main 2017 Application Form. If the candidate would like to make any changes, click on the ‘Edit Application Form’ button. To make the final submission of the application form, click on the ‘Submit’ button.

The first stage of the application form is now completed.

Important: The unique Application number will be generated by the system. Candidates must note down the application number, password and security question and answer for future reference.

Uploading of Scanned Images

At this stage, applicants have to upload scanned images of their passport sized photograph and signature in the prescribed format as mentioned above. 

Note: If candidates want to make any changes, click on the ‘Review’ button and make the required changes. If no change is required, applicants may proceed forward to make the payment.

Payment of Application Fee

After successfully uploading the photograph and signature, candidates will require paying the requisite fee in order to validate the application form.

Mode of Payment

The examination fee can be paid through any one of the following modes:

Credit / Debit Card/ e- Wallet: In this mode of payment, applicants can make the payment through the following payment gateways:

  • Syndicate bank Payment Gateway (Any Debit/ Credit/ e- wallet (SBI Buddy Wallets/Paytm)
  • HDFC Bank Payment Gateway (Any Debit/ Credit card)

Candidates must follow the online instruction to complete the payment of the requisite fee. Candidates will also need to pay an additional processing charge as following:

  • Credit Card: 1.20% of the requisite fee in addition to the service tax as applicable.
  • Debit Card: 0.75% + taxes for requisite fee up to Rs. 2000 and 1% + taxes for examination fee more than Rs. 2000.
  • SBI Buddy: Rs.20/- per transaction plus the service tax as applicable.
  • Paytm: 1.50% of the examination fee plus the service tax as applicable

E-Challan: Candidates can make the payment in Syndicate/ICICI/Canara/ HDFCBank in cash. As soon as the candidates select this mode for payment, an e-Challan will be generated containing specific details of the candidate along with the amount to be paid. The candidates have to take a printout of the same and take it to the nearest branch of the selected bank for making the payment.
Note: Application fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Downloading of Acknowledgement Slip

After the successful payment of the examination fee, candidates must check the status of fee payment online. If the status is ‘OK’, candidates will be able to download and take a print out of the acknowledgement slip generated by the system.

What do to if the Fee Payment status is not ‘OK’?

In case, the fee payment status is not ‘OK’ the candidates have to follow the steps given below:

  • If the candidates have made the fee payment through e-challan by depositing cash in above mentioned bank, they should immediately contact the concerned bank to update their fee status on the website.
  • If the application fee is paid through credit/debit card/ e- wallet and the status is not ‘OK’, it indicates that the transaction has been cancelled and the amount will, automatically, be refunded to the concerned credit/debit card/ e-wallet within 7 – 10 days. The candidates have to pay the fee once again and ensure the ‘OK’ fee status.
