Q1. What is the eligibility criterion?
Ans. Minimum Academic Qualifications for B.E./B.Tech.:
Should be a pass in 10+2 examination from recognized Board/University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects:
(a) Chemistry
(b) Bio-Technology
(c) Computer Science
(d) Biology
For admission to B.E/B.Tech. Bio-Technology, the candidates should be a pass in 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics or Biology as compulsory subjects along with any one of the following subjects:
(a) Chemistry
(b) Bio-Tech.
(c) Computer Science
Q2. What is the criterion for reservation of seats?
Ans. The criterion for reservation of seats is as follows:
- For Haryana students :- 85% seats reserved ( Including 25% seats for Women ) on the basis of AIEEE 2012 score
- For other states :- 15% seats reserved on the basis of AIEEE 2012 score
Q3. How much is the counseling fee?
Ans. Counseling fee for B.E./B.Tech./ B.Arch courses is Rs. 500/- (Non-Refundable) only & shall be deposited by the candidate through www.hscs.org in the account of Haryana State Counseling Society.
Q4. What is the counseling procedure?
Ans. Four Counselings will be conducted for admission to AICTE approved B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Arch courses for all the seats of Govt. / Aided/ University Departments & 75% seats of Private Institutes only as follows :
1st Counselling - By NIC for all General & Reserved seats
2nd Counselling - By NIC for Reserved seats only.
3rd Counselling - By NIC, for Reserved seats only.
4th Counselling or any subsequent counseling, if any - By NIC for all seats without any reservation i.e. allotted categories would be only AIC, HOGC, KM & HGST (AIC & HOGC, in case of B.Arch)
Q5. On the basis of which exam is the intake of students done?
Ans. The student intake is on the basis of AIEEE 2012 examination.
Q6. When will the counseling procedure start?
Ans. The counseling procedure will start in the month of June.
