Q1. What are the courses offered under B.Tech?

Ans. The courses offered under B.Tech are:

  • Civil Engineering
  • Computer Sc. and Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Electronics & Communication Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Bio-technology

Q2. What is the eligibility criteria?

Ans. The eligibility criteria is 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics securing minimum 50% marks (40% for SC/ST) is eligible to apply for the programme. Candidates appearing in the 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics can also apply.

Q3. What is the reservation criteria?

Ans. Total No. of Seats = 360(23% seats for SC/ST, 27% seats for OBC)

Apart from this, horizontal reservation within the category is also applicable which is as follows:

  • Dependents of Freedom Fighters – Max 2%
  • Dependents of Retired/Handicapped/War Deceased Personnel-Max 5%
  • Physically Handicapped- Max 3%
  • Women- Max 20%

Q4. Is it a state level examination or an All-India exam?

Ans. It is an All-India level exam.

Q5.When is the date of examination?

Ans. The date of examination Mid May 2012.

Q6. Is it necessary for students to stay in a hostel?

Ans. The University is modeled as a fully residential educational campus in line with the best institutions of higher learning across the globe

Q7. What is the fee per academic session?

Ans. The fees per academic session for 5 years Integrated Dual Degree programme is Rs. 84,000/-

Q8. In whose favour is the DD to be drawn?

Ans. Application Form can be obtained from the Counter at the University by paying in cash/demand draft drawn in favour of The Chairman, Admissions payable at Gautam Budh Nagar

Q9. How can the form be obtained?

Ans. The form can be obtained for Rs.200/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 100/- for SC/ST candidates. The application form may also be downloaded from the University website (www.gbu.ac.in). Outstation candidates may obtain the application from by post after paying additional Rs. 50/-.

Q10. Where the forms should be sent?

Ans. Filled in forms should be sent to The Chairman Admissions, Administrative
Building, Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, Gautam Budh Nagar- 201 310 (U.P.)

Q11. How much application fee should be sent along with the form?

Ans. Application Fees for all Programmes:
a. For the forms obtained from the Counter/by Post: Rs. 1000/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST candidates
b. For downloaded forms: Rs. 1200/- for General/OBC and Rs. 600/- for SC/ST candidates

Q12. What is the last date for application forms to reach the university?

Ans. Filled in application forms in all respect should reach the University, by hand or by post latest by Mid March, 2012.
