GATE 2018 Preparation Tips & Tricks

  • To start with GATE 2018 candidates must be aware of the GATE exam pattern 2018 completely.
  • Candidates must keep in mind that there are only multiple choice questions (MCQs) and numerical answer type (NAT) questions, hence only they can get maximum numbers in the test.
  • Candidates must go through the GATE syllabus 2018 for topics from the allotted paper and prepare them accordingly.
  • Going through the GATE previous year question papers and GATE sample papers which help to understand the weak topics and try to concentrate more on those topics.
  • Time management is one of the success keys for qualifying GATE 2018. Candidates must try to solve the papers within a specific time limit to obtain an idea as to how many questions are solved within the allotted time.
  • There should not be any imbalance during preparation. Both theory and numerical problems must be given equal weightage.
  • It is important to prepare the charts/lists of important definitions, equations, derivations, theorems, laws in every subject.
  • Discussions with mentors, fellow students, GATE toppers also will guide the candidates by incorporating their knowlege in GATE 2018 preparation.
  • To get complete knowlege about technical topics candidates must sit for group study with the fellow mates for few hours.
  • Focus carefully on different types of questions and do not panic which will kill your time and preparation.
