GATE Analysis 2017 for CSGATE Analysis 2017 for CS – The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2017 (GATE) for Computer Science and Information Technology is scheduled to be held on February 11, 2017. The exam will be conducted by IIT Roorkee in two sessions, forenoon (09.00 am to 12.00 pm) and afternoon (02.00 to 05.00 pm). GATE Analysis 2017 for CS

GATE 2017 is an online exam which will be held for 23 disciplines and lakhs of candidates will be taking it for admission to post graduate courses and for various PSU’s recruitment. The candidates who will be having valid GATE 2017 admit card will only be allowed to enter the test centre and sit for the exam.

The duration of the exam will be 3 hours (180 minutes) for each of the session. The paper will be marked out of 100 marks. The question paper will consist of multiple choice questions (MCQs) and numerical answer type (NAT) questions. Each MCQ will have 4 options and the candidates will have to mark one correct answer.

Broadly there will be 2 sections in the exam, which are as follow –

  1. General Aptitude
  2. Specific subject questions – It will specifically have questions from Engineering Mathematics. These questions will come from the topics the engineer students must have been studying at their school and graduation level.

GATE Analysis 2017 for CS – Overall Difficulty Level

According to the expert predictions, the overall difficulty of GATE CS 2017 is expected to be moderately difficult and a bit on similar lines like that of last year. The General Aptitude questions are expected to be easy. Also, engineering mathematics questions will be moderate and some may even find them to be easy as being from engineering background, they might be comfortable answering them. The subjective based questions will be difficult and moderate varying to the topics.
