GATE Analysis 2017 for CEGATE Analysis 2017 for CE will be conducted by IIT Roorkee on February 12, 2017. The paper is scheduled to be held in two sessions, the 1st session will be in the morning from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and the 2nd session will be in the afternoon from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. GATE 2017 will be conducted online in around 680 cities situated across 26 states and Union Territories of the country. The Aptitude Test will be held for a total number of 23 papers. Among all the disciplines, Civil Engineering (CE) is one of the most sought Branch and a large number of applications are received every year for the EC paper. PSUs will also recruit a large number of Civil Engineers through GATE 2017. As students are now gearing up for the aptitude test, we have provided an overall analysis for the CE paper to help candidates prepare effectively for the aptitude test.

 

 

GATE Analysis 2017 for CE

All the paper will consist of objective type multiple choice questions (MCQs) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT). Each session of GATE 2017 will be held for a duration of 3 hours (180 minutes). The marking scheme will also be similar for all the papers except GG, XL and XE papers. In the MCQ section, there will be 4 options out of which candidates have to mark only 1 correct answer. The GATE paper is segregated into the following sections:

  1. Engineering Mathematics
  2. Chosen Subject (CE)
  3. General Aptitude
