score cardGATE 2017 Score Card : The score card of GATE 2017 has been made available by IIT Roorkee from March 26 to May 5, 2017 along with the declaration of result of GATE 2017. Only candidates who have qualified in GATE 2017 can download their official GATE 2017 Score Card through the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) until December 31, 2017, while all candidates can check their GATE results. Candidates are advised to download and print the Score Card of GATE 2017 within the stipulated period of time. IIT Roorkee which is the conducting institute of GATE 2017 will not issue the GATE Score Card by any other means. In case candidates have not been able to download and save their score card byDecember 31, 2017, they can send a request after paying a fee of Rs 500 through GOAPS. IIT Roorkee will send the soft copy of the same to the candidate’s registered email ID. The last date for this facility is December 31, 2017. How to download the GATE 2017 Score Card

  • Log in to the GOAPS, enter your GATE 2017 Enrollment ID or Email ID (registered) and the chosen password.
  • The link to download the GATE 2017 Score Card can be seen. Click on the same and download it.
  • Print the same and keep the saved copy safe as it is used for M.Tech admissions, PSU interviews etc.

Who will be issued the GATE 2017 Score Card?

  1. All SC/ST/PwD candidates whose marks are greater than or equal to the qualifying marks of SC/ST/PwD candidates in their respective papers.
  2. All other candidates whose marks are greater than or equal to the qualifying mark of OBC (NCL) candidates in their respective papers.

How to Get Soft Copy of the GATE 2017 Score Card? 

  • It is generally advisable to download the Score Card for GATE 2017 when it is available from March 26 to May 5, 2017. This is a free facility and candidates who have qualified in GATE need not pay any fee for the same.
  • However, after May 5, 2017, candidates who require the GATE 2017 Score Card will need to pay a fee of Rs 500 online through GOAPS.
  • They must mail the authorities at IIT Roorkee with details and the soft copy of the GATE score Card will be sent to the cadidates.

How is the GATE 2017 Score Calculated?

Five papers in GATE are most popular and have a high number of applicants. These papers are conducted in multiple sessions. The score is then calculated based on a normalisation formula approved by the authorities. These papers are ME, CS, EC, EE and CE. The other papers have a separate normalization formula. Q: I am unable to download my GATE Score Card?

A: Have you obtained the qualifying marks or more? If no, you cant download the GATE 2017 Score Card. If yes, check the enrollment ID or Email ID and the password. If you have qualified in GATE and cannot still download the Score card, contact IIT Roorkee or your GATE 2017 Zonal Centre.

Q: Is it important to save and keep the Score Card for GATE 2017?

A: Yes it is. The Score Card is proof of your qualifying the exam and will be required for M.Tech admissions and PSU recruitment. It is advisable to download and safe keep the score card when it is available from March 27 to May 26, 2017

Q: How long should I safe keep the GATE 2017 Score Card?

A: Well the GATE 2017 Score Card will be valid till March 26, 2020. M.Tech admissions are possible within three years from qualifying in GATE. Moreover some of the PSUs announce their recruitment on the previous GATE scores like DRDO had asked for GATE 2015 or 2016 qualified candidates for its recruitment announced in 2016. Some other PSUs announced their Recruitment through GATE 2015 scores in the year 2016. So it won’t hurt to safe keep the copy of the GATE 2017 Score Card.

Q: I forgot to download my GATE Score Card. Now I need it urgently. How can I get it?

A: Well the soft copy of the GATE score card can be obtained but only till December 31, 2017. For this, you have to log in to GOAPS, pay a fee of Rs 500, send your details and the payment details to IIT Roorkee. They will send the soft copy. Remember to safe keep this.

Q: Can I get my GATE Score Card next year say 2018 in case I misplace it?

A: No. The facility of downloading it will be over by May 26, 2017 and the soft copy can be obtained only till December 31, 2017. so if you want the score card in 2018, you will not be able to get it. The facility will be withdrawn.
