The bad news is that the time flies, the good news is that you are the pilot ....
My previous article was How to prepare for IITJEE In 6 Months. That article just gave the books to study and it wasn’t so elaborate and many of them in forums, mails are asking about how to study in these 6 months. Here i present you the perfect plan to crack IITJEE in 6 months.
Which Books to be studied?
The books below are all IITians general suggession. But if you think the book is not suiting your need then feel free to change it. But the most recommended are these
Physics:
- NCERT Physics
- HC Verma (That’s the best book available for physics)
- Arihant by DC Pandey
Chemistry:
- NCERT (Dont miss this one)
- Physical - P Bahadur
- Organic -Arihant
- Inorganic - P.Bahadur/OP Tandon
Besides this you do from your coaching institute material (prefer Brilliant tutorials material). At final revise YG File (if u have), last year IIT problems or Arihant new pattern. Then take test series (take Brilliant Tutorials not FIIT JEE seriously as it is beyond JEE level and de-motivates you a lot
Mathematics:
- ML Khanna or RD Sharma
Many people think ML Khanna sucks lot of time but according to me it clears the basics and also key to solve different kinds of probs. But don’t look at solutions before giving a try.Even RD Sharma works, but I suggest ML Khanna
- Coaching maths questions
- Arihant series in Maths
if time permits TMH Mathematics
A Readymade Plan for all...
Here comes the study plan for those who have not yet started JEE preparation till now .This Plan is for 6 months. Make sure you follow it sincerely
October:
Physics – electrostatics, capacitors, electric current, Magnetics
Chemistry – Nomenclature, isomerism, GOC, Hydrocarbons
Maths – functions, limits, continuity and differentiability
November:
Physics – Electromagnetic Induction, Modern Physics
Chemistry – Aldehydes and Ketones, Alcohols and Ethers, Amines
Maths – Application of derivatives, integration
December:
Physics – Optics, Mechanics
Chemistry – States of Matter, Thermodynamics, Electrochemistry, Equilibrium
Maths – Straight lines, circles, parabola, Properties of triangle
January:
Physics – Properties of matter, SHM, waves
Chemistry – S, P, D block and transition elements
Maths – Complex Numbers, Quadratic Equations, Probability, Determinants
February:
For your boards’ preparation
March:
As soon as your exams get over, collect all the test papers (your institute’s) and last year IIT problems of above chaps
April:
Revise thoroughly your Notes and don’t read anything new. Don’t read anything 4 days before the big day to relieve you from tension. Be confident and cool
For 12th Pass:
Read thermodynamics, Mechanics, Vectors &3D Geometry, Differential Equations, Solutions, Carbohydrates in February and March.
But I suggest trying problems on the chapters you know than studying new chapters.
This plan is very possible if you study hard with full dedication and determination.
Can’t you lose your enjoyment for 6 months for a good life ?

Most of study institues are providing IIT-JEE examination solutions and there are not providing question bank. Kindly advise me or guide me for getting the question bank along with solutions.

i am kavi.everyone says that practice is the most important thing.but in my case, even practice is not in my fever.when i start to solve ques. .i cant solve more then 3 ques. out of 10. so i feel frustration an leave it.days are passing.and a cant do anything. i cry in alone.my future is going to destroyed.some time a think abt suside.please dude, save my life.........pl ease........... ...reply i m waiting.
it boosted my confindence very much....!
Go for IIT JEE work hard for AIEEE as well. AIEEE is bit less competitive to IIT JEE, so chances remain better to get a good college. You are a good student so need not to worry, if you have filled up the application forms this year then go for the tests otherwise work hard for next year.
Generally, The Coaching institutes are better option as these provide you a strict time table, competition and study material including mock tests, Anyhow it completely depends upon you if you feel comfortable with individual teachers.
You have done with your 12th Board exam, so start revising topics of 11th, go through the basic concepts and NCERT that will boost your basic knowledge and will help you in getting understood the further things.
All the best.
i bought tmh bt i m ny able 2 get it............
then wotss 2 do???
I like this study plan but still i have a problem.
There are lot of questions in all above suggested books. So i am confused about that what should i study , i mean how many questions should i solve from each book. Because even if i endeavour to solve maximum questions , it'll consume a lot of time that i don't have.
so can you please suggest me something ?
there are almost 5 months left for JEE and ur plan shud be to utilise the 5 months to the fullest.
and about the timetable...i have already listed the plan for a student who is preparing for JEE in 6 months...and if u are starting from nevember onwards then u can adjust the october schedule somehow by keeping 2 hours extra for it..
ok then if u are free the whole day and night...let me tell u how ur day shud look like
First of all dont neglect ur boards...they are very important...giv e equal importance to all the 3 subjects and board exam,,,
Daily..study.. 10 hours for JEE and 3 hours for Boards...
in those 10 hours for JEE ...3 hours for PCM each..and remaining 1 hour..for reviion of the while day whatever u have done in that day...and revising formulaes..stuff...
and 3 hours for boards...in that..study the baord stuff...try to study all the subjects in those 3 hours if possible ...or u can do 45 min each for Physics, chem and maths...and rest...subjects adjust them in the remaining time...if u want more time for the subjects like English and others...then add 1 hour extra..f u have budget...
If u want to study more that 13 hours a day...then u can adjust urself....its ur choice...but try to study minimum 10 hours for JEE...if u want to get a good rank...
the plan is quite hectic but u must think that its a do or die situation ...and follow this for 5 months..and see urself in IIT next year
i just wannna tell u dat i hv already appeared for iit in 2009 but i couldn't make it and also i get 59.6% marks in my board exams.now i will retake d exams n will appear for iit 2010 as well . i took 2 year coaching at fiitjee as well.but due 2 some family circumstances i was off study till today.now i m 100% free the whole day n nite. but my present situation is like dat i didn't study the previous months and now i hv 2 prepare for boards as well as iit now onwards .can u plzzzzzzzzzzz suggest a suitable plan or timetable so that i can give my best output by putting lot of efforts by keeping ur plan in mind and be srict to follow dat.
waitin 4 ur reply>>>>
yup...u can go for any book...and the book u mentioned above..are fit for JEE
You are on the right path to clear JEE ....
i have started doing the above mentioned subject in the same order
but the books used for maths are amit agarwal sk goyal and for physics are those of D C Pandey
i use ncert books for chemistry and solve past questions from 31years jee questions
chapterwise after reading the theory
do you think it will work????
please reply soon....
@Mukunkrishna.....I cant say it will be enough...but NCERT inorganic is a must...and if u want to crack jee then u have to understand that nothing is enough for JEE...study till the D day..try to complete as much as possible..
with NCERT u can do other books listed above in the article also then i will say it is enough..:-)
but the main problem wid me is my time schedule..i cant manage my time..so if u dont mind thn can u plz tell me scheduled time table in short..i'll be grateful to u..
u dont knw but iitjee is my dream n since 9th i thought that i have to crack iitjee n nw i'll crack iitjee..
thanks..
i think if u have done from HC verma then its enough...if u have time for extra problems...thry the above books which i mentioned...do only imporatn problems..
theory i hv done from hcv n solved each prob once
wt shud i do to finish it off as per oct plan??
i found those chaps boring in it
http://engg.entrancecorner.com/studentarea/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=549:cant-concentrate-on-studies-&catid=23:expert-articles&Itemid=50
and mostly all articles are in the expert articles category...so u can search there if u want to find any other...
Its natural to find TMH difficult since its truly difficult
DOnt get disheartened if u are not able to solve the problems from TMH.
what u can do is continue with das gupta and solve the same problems 3 times...i mean repeat the book 3 times.
This will enhance ur problem solving skils and later jump over to The BAAP of IITJEE books the TMH mathematics
CHEERS
bt i hv a prob
in maths i easily do a das gupta and arihant bt find tmh quite tough can u plz suggest me somethng so dat i cud master up in maths
thanks a lot.
i lack concentration very much can u help me
my mind thinks about topics that r required not now u may uderstand
Dont call me Mod please...call me manish
See there are total 6 months left for JEE...right?
what u can do is study accord=ding to this timetable listed above
Everyone has strong and weak points ...you are string in Physics and Chem and maths..u fond it tough..
So what you can do is give more concentration to p and C now and maths keep daily 3 hours...or more..its ur choice..and study only that...
Maths is a kind of a subject which is mastered by LOTS of practice...dude ...dont loose heart so early...
The war has just started...
Just study daily maths....and remove the thought from ur mind that i find maths tough...after 3 months..u will..come to know the results of it.
My advice is to Chalte chalo....you will surely crack JEE and you will surely ...master Maths...by Jan..if you start today..
Better start today KYA PATA KAL HO NA HO !
i have been reading your articles regularly and u hav to accept it they r really motivating
but i want to share my problem with u

11th portion is also included in the article sakshi...the 12th portion is kept forst since they are easy as compared to 11th portion ....Only higher weightage chapters are considered since there is less time left for JEE
i'll definitely carryon wid dis.......
thnxxxxxxxxxx a lotttttttttt... ..:-)
