OJEE 2014 Entrance Exam for engineering admissions (excluding B.Tech Lateral Entry) is now scrapped and all the admissions into engineering UG courses in the state of Odisha would be followed through JEE Main 2014. Candidates are required to attempt JEE Main 2014 to become eligible for participation in counselling and seat allotment. Latest Changes

As per the notification released in 2013, Odisha JEE 2014 Exam is lifted off and all the engineering admissions will now be made through JEE Main 2014 Scores. The exam would now be held exclusively for medical, pharmacy, B.Tech (lateral) and agricultural courses.

Until 2013, OJEE  was held for engineering courses as well and candidates were selected for admissions into various colleges based on the OJEE Scores. From 2014 onwards, admissions would be granted on All India Ranking and State Ranking in JEE Main 2014.

OJEE 2014 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are required to attempt and qualify JEE Main 2014 for being eligible for Odisha JEE 2014. Read JEE Main 2014 Eligibility Criteria – Click Here

  • Candidate must have passed class XII or equivalent exam in 2012 or 2013 with 5 subjects at least.
  • He must be born on or after 1st week of October 1989 (1984 for SC/ST and PwD).
  • Minimum acceptable percentage in the QE is 50%.
  • Allowed subject combination includes Math and Physics as compulsory and any one of Chemistry, Bio – Technology, Biology and Computer Science as optional.
  • He must have obtained a valid JEE Main 2014 AIR, State Rank to participate in centralized counselling.

Odisha JEE 2014 Selection Method

For admissions, candidates shall be selected on the basis of JEE Main 2014 AIR. Based on the ranking, candidates will be called for counselling and seat allotment.  JEE Main 2014 AIR will be calculated by using the normalization technique i.e. 60:40 ratio. 60% will be taken from JEE Main 2014 and 40% will be considered from Class XII (or equivalent exam) marks.

OJEE 2014 Application Form

To apply for OJEE 2014, candidates have to fill JEE Main 2014 Application Form. Also, candidates are supposed to fill the Odisha JEE 2014 Application Form which will be released around July 2014. The form can be filled on the official website of Odisha JEE 2014.

Remit the application fees of Rs.450, which can be paid by favoring a demand draft/pay order towards “The Chairman, Odisha Joint Entrance Examination” payable at Odisha and drawn on any Scheduled/Nationalized/Commercial Bank.

OJEE 2014 is an exam for getting admission in various undergraduate courses in Odisha. The applicants who want to take admission under any reserved category must have a mandatory certificate of permanent nativity of Odisha.

This certificate will be checked in the document verification phase of OJEE 2014. If any kind of discrepancy is detected regarding the applicants’ credentials or documents, his or her candidate status will be cancelled at the same time.

The Online Application Forms of OJEE 2014 will have the following 4 Steps:

  • The applicants have to choose proper application form as per their course choice.

The printed out Application Form of OJEE 2014 has to be completed by affixing the photos, putting the left hand thumb impression and completing the signature formalities before the applicants mail it.

Complete and accurate Postal Address of applicant must be filled by applicant. If any kind of error occurs while writing the address in Application Form of OJEE 2014, the applicants will not be able to receive the correspondences from time to time.

The applicant must note down and preserve the Registration Number for all future references and correspondences.

The incomplete Application Form of OJEE 2014 and the forms filled in any language other than English will be rejected. No change in the credentials of applicant is allowed at any later stage. Hence the applicant must fill the Application Form carefully.

The cost of Application Form is non-refundable and any dispute arising about OJEE 2014 Entrance Exam will be dealt with in Odisha HC only. Applicants must not submit any other document along with the form.

The documents will be verified on prescribed date at the nodal center in the document verification phase. Any kind of fault or mislead detected at that stage shall render the candidature of the subject cancelled.

Eligibility Criteria of OJEE 2014

Before undertaking the OJEE 2014, the applicants must confirm that they satisfy all the conditions specified by the OJEE 2014 controlling office which will be called as Eligibility Criteria. The applicants, who satisfy all the conditions of OJEE 2014 Eligibility Criteria, shall be ELIGIBLE for exam.

These conditions are:

  1. The applicant must have either passed or appearing in CHSE exam of 12th class Odisha or equivalent exam.
  2. The exam must be passed with mathematics and Physics as the compulsory subjects along with one optional subject as per Eligibility Criteria of OJEE 2014.
  3. The optional subjects are: Biotechnolgy/Chemistry/Biology/Geology/Electronics/Computer Science/Statics/Information Technology.
  4. The applicant must have passed the above mentioned subjects with at least 45% (GEN) and 40% (ST/SC) as aggregate as per Eligibility Criteria of OJEE 2014.
  5. To be eligible according to Eligibility Criteria, the applicants must have passed the 12th class exam in each subject individually.
  6. There will be no upper age limit for the applicants to take OJEE 2014 as per the Eligibility Criteria.
  • Eligibility Criteria of OJEE 2014 for Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFW):
  1. Applicants’ parents’ income from all sources must be lesser than Rs. 4.50 Lakh.
  2. To demand seats under TFW Scheme, the applicants will have to submit an income certificate as per Eligibility Criteria of OJEE 2014 at the time of document verification.
  3. This scheme will involve only tuition fee and all other fees except tuition fee will have to be paid by the applicant.
  4. To be eligible for TFW Scheme, the applicant must be a native applicant of Odisha as per Eligibility Criteria.
  5. TFW Scheme is applicable to all the AICTE approved institutions.
  6. According to Eligibility Criteria of OJEE 2014, the applicant will have to submit the following documents at the nodal center during document verification:
    1. Native of Odisha.
    2. Parents’ Income certificate from Local Tehsildar.

Reservation of Seats

Reservation of Seats in ODISHA JEE 2014 will consider the following categories for reservation demands to get admission in various Undergraduate Programmes:

  1. Odisha State Category (S-Category):
  2. The applicants who want to apply for colleges under Reservation of Seats in ODISHA JEE 2014 for Odisha State Category must satisfy at least one of the following criteria:
    1. Parents of applicant are permanent residents of Odisha. Such applicants will have to produce a proof of permanent residence at the time of OJEE 2103 Counselling to demand Reservation of Seats.
    2. The applicants must have appeared/passed the 12th class exam from any recognized institution in Odisha.
    3. Daughters/Sons/Spouse of permanent Government of India/ Government of Odisha/ Government of Odisha Undertakings employees serving in Odisha while applying for exam. For demanding Reservation of Seats in ODISHA JEE 2014 in this category, the applicants have to submit a certificate from the parents/his own/spouse’s employee at the time of document verification.
  • Applicants demanding any kind of reservation under Reservation of Seats, need to submit a certificate of permanent resident of Odisha at the time of document verification.
  • ODISHA JEE 2014 Reservation of Seats under State Categories will be according to the Government of Odisha policy. The percentile reservation of seats under different categories will vary according to the decision of State Government which will be final and binding.
  • All reservations under Reservation of Seats in ODISHA JEE 2014 will be valid only for the permanent residents of Odisha.
  • The applicants of Scheduled Castes (SC) will have 8% seats reserved for them.
  • Scheduled tribe applicants will have reservation of 12% under ODISHA JEE 2014 Reservation of Seats.
  • There will be a SEPARATE Merit List for each reserved category. If all the seats under reserved category are not filled by the reserved category applicants, they will be filled by General category applicants as per ODISHA JEE 2014 Reservation of Seats criteria.
  • The applicants, who want to demand Reservation of Seats in ODISHA JEE 2014 for ST/SC categories, will have to submit a certificate of belonging to the SC/ST category by the Tehsildar of the place of birth in Odisha.
  • 5% of seats will be reserved for the children of Green Card Holders. But to demand this reservation, they have to show the authentic Green Card at the time of document verification as per Reservation of Seats under ODISHA JEE 2014 guidelines.
  • If any kind of mislead or faulty info is found at any stage regarding the credentials of applicant or means used in obtaining the Green Card, his/her candidature will be cancelled at once.
  • The applicants of PD (Physically Disabled) category will have 3% reservation under Reservation of Seats. Such applicants will have to submit a proof of having at least 40% disability to demand seats under this category.
  • The widows/wards of the ex-servicemen will have 2% ODISHA JEE 2014 Entrance Exam Reservation of Seats. Such applicants will have to submit a certificate in the prescribed format and have to appear before the Rajya Sainik Board for prioritization according to the notifications on the website of OJEE 2014.
  • The women applicants will have a reservation of 30% of seats as per ODISHA JEE 2014 Reservation of Seats.
  • There will be some seats which will come under Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) scheme as per ODISHA JEE 2014 Reservation of Seats. Around 5% of seats will fall under this category.
  • The applicants must refer to the brochure for the details of TFW seats.
  • There will be 3% of ODISHA JEE 2014 Reservation of Seats in Government Engineering Colleges for Odiya Speaking people living outside Odisha. Such applicants must have:
  1. Nativity certificate from outside Odisha.
  2. Certificate of studying with Odiya as the language upto M.E. OR a score of at least 40% in the ODIYA language exam conducted by OJEE 2014 as per Reservation of Seats criteria.
  • 12th class in Science discipline must have been passed by applicant outside Odisha.
  • 5% of seats will be reserved for NRI applicants only in AICTE approved colleges as per ODISHA JEE 2014 Reservation of Seats.
  • At the time of document verification, to demand seats under Reservation of Seats in ODISHA JEE 2014 for NRI category, applicants shall have to submit:
  1. Copies of Passport.
  2. Equivalent certificate of Qualifying Examination.
  3. Work Permit.
  4. Result
  5. The ODISHA JEE 2014 Result will be announced in the last week of May 2014. The result will be released in the form of the merit list. However, if a applicant wants to know the subject wise marks scored by him/her, a DD of 200 INR must reach the OJEE office within 10 days of announcement of result. The DD for detailed Result must be drawn in favor of OJEE-2014 at any nationalized bank and payable at Bhubaneswar.
  6. ODISHA JEE 2014 Result will be announced on the basis of evaluation of OJEE Papers which are machine gradable and hence error and bias free. However, if a applicant wants to apply for Re-Totalling or Re-Addition of marks, he or she may send the request along with a DD of 500 INR. The draft must be drawn in favor of OJEE-2014 at any nationalized bank payable at Bhubaneswar. The DD for Re-checking the Result must reach the office of OJEE 2014 within seven calendar days of result announcement.
  7. No photocopy of answer sheet, or question paper will be sent to any applicant. No request for Re-evaluation of ODISHA JEE 2014 Result will be entertained in any case.
  8. The Re-Totalling of ODISHA JEE 2014 Entrance Exam Result will be done manually by a committee whose decision will be final.
