We have Published JEE MAIN 2013 Cut off Based on Students and expert analysis

Candidates whose exam score is above or equal to this score will be included in the final merit list and qualify the exam and rest will be disqualified. As per the announcements done earlier, the JEE Main 2013 Cut off will also decide the candidates who will be allowed to take JEE Advanced exam.

Only top 1.5 lakh candidates of JEE Main will be allowed to sit for JEE Advanced given that they are in the top 20 percentile window of their School Boards too. These candidates will be chosen from every category and thus every category will have a separate JEE Main 2013 Cut off.

Candidates can use the answer key released after exam conduction and compare the approximate exam score with last year’s cut off too to have an estimation of their choices.

The Cutoff for JEE Main 2013 will be the limiting factor to decide the number of candidates who will be eligible for JEE Advanced 2013 which will be the entry level exam for admission in IITs. The rank corresponding to cutoff score will be called as the cutoff rank.

This rank corresponding to the Cut off for JEE Main 2013 will be different for different category candidates and will be made available on the official website of exam as soon as the results are out. The candidates are advised to stay in constant touch with the official website to be updated about the latest news and announcements.

The Cutoff for JEE Main 2013 will also consider the candidates' marks of Class XII. These marks will be first normalized and then used for merit calculation. The relaxation for the candidates of reserved categories will also be considered for the generation of final merit list.

As the exam pattern and syllabus has been kept close to AIEEE the difference in JEE Main 2013 Cut off and last year’s cutoff marks vs rank will not be too high.

Every college and every course will have a different cutoff. To know more about JEE Main 2013 Cut off candidates can refer to admission brochure or go through the official website.

# rickey khanna 2013-05-09 09:05
sir, i have a confusion regarding category
i am an obc candidate and hv scored 93 in jee mains
the problem is that only state list considers me an obc candidate whereas central list does not......
i hv applied in jee mains as an obc candidate thinking to get benefit at state level in centrally funded institutes as jee main result will comprise a separate state and category rank.
now what should i do with jee advanced??? should i go for general or obc??( in jee advance they will consider only central list)
and if i go for general , won't it create a discrepancy in my registration?

# Entrance Corner 2013-05-09 16:30
Apply as OBC candidate. If there is any problem regarding your category at admission time, you will be converted to general category candidate.

# Shashwat 2013-04-17 21:59
@Anjan Kumar the result declared on 8th may will only tell you your JEEMains rank..nothing else..it will only tell you that whether you have qualified for JEE ADVANCE or not..Boards Result are expected by last week of may..the AIEEE RESULT comprising of 60% marks of JEE MAINS And 40% marks of BOARDS will be declared somewhere near 7th July...this is being declared late so that every child gets equal opportunity to chose An NIT.because if the results are declared before the result of JEE ADVANCE then all the students who do not want to give JEE ADVANCE will Choose the NIT..and all those who wont be able to Qualify the JEE ADVANCE paper (as there are only 9500 seats for 1.5 lakh students), they will be left nowhere..as they will not b able to get An NIT of their choice because it will be already captured by others who did not give JEE ADVANCE.so the results will be declared late..

# Anjan Kumar 2013-04-11 08:00
I would like to know whether jee mains results will be of 60 percent from jee mains plus 40 percent of class 12 boards, if so then jee mains result should be declared after the boards result. If not them how will they come to know about our class 12 percentage. And also I would like to know if the results for paper 1 and paper 2 will be separate. If so then what will happen if I qualify among 150000 in paper 2 not paper 1 ,Are the papers independent of each other ? also I would like to know if they are dependent on each other then will the marks of paper 1 and paper 2 sum up.
