Introduction

Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET 2011) is a common written test for the admission processes of undergraduate institutes of Symbiosis International ( Deemed University) established as Deemed to be University" under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 vide notification No.F.9.12/2001 U.3 of the Govt. of India. In the year 2002 there were 3 constituent institutes, subsequently ten more Institutes of Symbiosis have been brought under the ambit of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) vide notification No.F.9.12/2006-U.3 (A).It is a mandatory written test for the admission process for the undergraduate programmes of the Symbiosis institutes.

Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT) is the latest member under the Faculty of Engineering of Symbiosis International (Deemed University).Symbiosis Institute of Technology will be the destination of choice for quality education focused on creating undergraduate research aptitude and overall personality.

Reservation of seats :

• Open for all states ( Based on SET 2011 score / AIEEE 2011 score / IIT-JEE 2011 score / MHT-CET 2011 score )
• 70% seats filled on the basis of Symbiosis SET 2011
  
• 15% seats filled on the basis of AIEEE / IIT-JEE
• 15% seats filled on the basis of MHT-CET

Eligiblity Criteria for SET 2011

• General Category - Passed HSC (10+2) or equivalent examination from any Statutory Board with 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
• SC/ST - Passed H.SC (10+2) or equivalent examination from any Statutory Board with 55% aggregate marks in PCM.
• Students who have good scores in various entrance examinations like SET 2011(Symbiosis Entrance Test) or AIEEE 2011 or JEE 2011 or MHCET 2011 will be considered for admission.
  Note: - Valid scores for above mentioned entrance test of year 2011 will be considered for admission process.
