About Exam (PDPU 2011):

Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU 2011) has been promoted by Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) to create a world class University in energy education and research with special focus on the oil and gas sector

Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University addresses the need for trained and specialised human resource for Oil & Gas Industry worldwide. It intends to expand the opportunities for students and professionals to develop intellectual knowledge base with leadership skills to compete in the global arena. This objective is being addressed through a number of specialized and well-planned undergraduate and post-graduate energy education programmes and intensive research initiatives.

Reservation of seats :

• For Gujarat students : 50% seats reserved ( Based on AIEEE 2011 score )
• For other states : 50% seats reserved ( Based on AIEEE 2011 score )

The School offers 4 Year B.Tech Program in Petroleum Engineering.

Total number of seats for the Academic Year 2011  :   240
Number of seats for candidates from Gujarat           :   120
Number of seats for candidates from rest of India    :   120

Reservation will be applicable as per Government Norms.

PDPU 2011 Admission Procedure

PDPU Admission to the 2011 batch of 4 Year B Tech Program will be based on the All India Merit Rank in AIEEE 2011 (All India Engineering Entrance Examination 2011), which is going to be conducted by CBSE on  1st May, 2011. Therefore, only those candidates who are appearing in AIEEE 2011 can apply for this program.

The short-listed candidates, based on the All India Ranking of AIEEE 2011, will be called for counselling at School of Petroleum Technology Campus and will be offered PDPU admission in order of their merit (based on the AIEEE 2011 ranking).
