PDPU 2011 Notification

Courses Offered:
Bachelor of Technology - Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial & Mechanical Engineering.

Eligibility and Admission Criteria for PDPU 2011 Applicants
• should have a minimum academic qualification of 10+2 with 50% marks (for SC/ST 45%) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry,
• should appear in AIEEE 2011 examination conducted by CBSE on 1st May, 2011.

Students who have appeared at All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE 2011) conducted by CBSE and passed Higher Secondary Examination (or its equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible to apply.

Candidates should have
(A) Mark sheet and certificate of Higher Secondary Examination (or its equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or that of qualifying examination listed below:

  1. The 10+2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, including Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
  2. Intermediate Science or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board / University.
  3. Final Examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defense Academy.
  4. General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/ Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
  5. High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University.
  6. Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system.
  7. H.S.C. Vocational Examination.
  8. Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.

(B) AIEEE 2011 Score Card

Date of Birth

Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 01 October 1986 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the 10 or 10+2 standard certificate, as issued by the Board/University, only, will be taken as authentic. Candidates must produce this certificate in original as a proof of their age at the time of counseling.

How To Apply
Candidate should apply on-line on the University Website or submit the application in the prescribed form available through selected branches of Oriental Bank of Commerce across India by paying Rs. 1,200/- upto 31st May, 2011. The print out of the duly filled in application form (ONLINE) must be sent to the Convener, Admission Committee (B. Tech.), Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Raisan, Gandhinagar - 382007 (Gujarat) along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 1,200/- (non-refundable process fee) drawn in favour of “Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University” payable at Ahmedabad upto 7th June, 2011.

Hostel Charges (per annum) Rs. 42,000/-

A student has to pay the required fees, at the time of counseling to confirm the admission. No extension of time shall be granted for paying the fees. Failure to remit the fees shall be considered as non-acceptance of the admission to the B.Tech. Programme.

Note: From the Academic Year 2011-12 Hostel and Mess Charges are likely to be revised.
