Karunya 2010 Counselling

Greetings from Karunya University.

We are happy to invite you to attend admission counselling for B.Tech. degree course as given below:

1. Karunya Entrance Examination 2010 (KEE 2010) results will be published on 1^st May 2010 11 am. Candidates are requested to download the KEE 2010 result from our website www.karunya.edu. A copy of self-attested downloaded KEE 2010 rank card to be produced on the day of counselling.

1. If the results of 12^th std is announced before the day of counselling the candidates are requested to bring a copy of self-attested 12^th std downloaded mark sheet to the counselling.
2. Admission counselling schedule and venue are given below. Candidates are requested to assemble in the counselling venue as given below. Late comers will not be permitted.

i) Candidates who have studied in Tamilnadu, Kerala & Andhra Pradesh

BRANCH/COURSE ALLOTMENT IS PURELY BASED ON THE KEE 2010 RANK & AVAILABILITY OF SEATS. HOWEVER, IF THE CANDIDATE SCORES LESS THAN 60% IN MATHS & LESS THAN 60% IN AGGREGATE OF MATHS, PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY IN THE 12^TH STANDARD EXAMINATION, THE PROVISIONAL ADMISSION GIVEN DURING COUNSELLING WILL STAND CANCELLED.

Counselling Venue:

Parents and candidates are requested to assemble in Emmanuel Auditorium, Karunya University, Karunya Nagar, Coimbatore – 641114 as mentioned above.

ii) Candidates who have studied OTHER THAN in Tamilnadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh

BRANCH/COURSE ALLOTMENT IS PURELY BASED ON THE KEE 2010 RANK & AVAILABILITY OF SEATS. HOWEVER, IF THE CANDIDATE SCORES LESS THAN 60% IN MATHS & LESS THAN 60% IN AGGREGATE OF MATHS, PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY IN THE 12^TH STANDARD EXAMINATION, THE PROVISIONAL ADMISSION GIVEN DURING COUNSELLING WILL STAND CANCELLED.

Counselling Venue:

Parents and candidates are requested to assemble in Emmanuel Auditorium, Karunya University, Karunya Nagar, Coimbatore – 641114 as mentioned above.

Candidates are requested to attend the counselling along with the following documents:

(a)     Self attested downloaded KEE 2010 mark sheet  (to be downloaded from www.karunya.edu).

(b)     Filled in Karunya Application Form (Qualifying examination and Register number should be clearly written)

(c)     10^th Mark Sheet. A self-attested copy of 12^th standard downloaded mark sheet (if results are announced & if available)

(d)     Personal identification : School ID card / Driving license / any other proof for personal identification

(e)     Proof for Christian Minority candidates (if Christian) : Community Certificate / Transfer Certificate showing clearly the candidate is a Christian (or) Christian Minority Certificate obtained from the Head of the School/Institution where the candidate last studied (format enclosed)

(f)      Proof for School last studied :  Copy of Transfer Certificate (if available) / Copy of progress report/report card / school tests mark sheet issued during the study of 12^th Standard in the School / +2 School Identity Card (ID)

(g)     Young Partner Certificate (if any)

(h)  If the candidate is selected for provisional admission, he/she has to pay the full fee immediately OR a minimum of Rs.50,000/- (DD also accepted in favour of “THE REGISTRAR, KARUNYA UNIVERSITY,

COIMBATORE”). The remaining fees should be paid within 15 working days from the day of selection.

1. Admission counselling will be based on the KEE 2010 rank and availability of seats. When the rank is called / announced, the concerned candidate must be present at the time. On any case/reason, late comers will not be permitted.

1. Fee structure for B.Tech. course is given below for your reference.

*  Subject to changes - If the food charges / mess bill increases students have to pay the excess.

1. Lap top is compulsory for B.Tech. Studies and will be provided during the second year by the Karunya University free of cost. Also a cell phone will be provided by Karunya University free of cost.

1. Students will be permitted to use only the Mobile phone and Laptop which have been provided by the university. No other mobile phone / SIM / Laptop are permitted to be used in the University & Hostel premises.

1. Number of available seats have been distributed as Tamilnadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Other state quota

1. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the admission counselling

1. PLEASE NOTE THIS INVITATION FOR ADMISSION COUNSELLING DOES NOT HOLD ANY GUARANTEE FOR ADMISSION INTO B.TECH. COURSES.

1. For the convenience of candidates and parents, special buses have been arranged by the university to pick up the candidates & parents from Coimbatore given below:

Public buses are also available as given below:

Bus Timings - Coimbatore to Karunya University

Take buses which go to Poondi / Semmedu from Gandhipuram Town Bus Stand and get down at a place called IRRUTTUPALLAM (3 kms to Karunya) and take an auto to Karunya.

DOCUMENTS TO BE PRODUCED AT THE TIME OF COUNSELLING

Checklist

1. Downloaded self attested KEE 2010 rank card
2. Copy of the attested 10th mark sheet
3. 12th standard self-attested downloaded mark sheet / original (if results are published & if available)
4. School identity card or any personal identification proof
5. Copy of Transfer Certificate (if available) [or] Copy of progress report / report card / school tests mark sheet issued during the study of 12th standard in the School (or)  12th standard School Identity Card (ID)
6. Photo – passport size – 1 no
7. Young Partner Certificate issued by Jesus Calls, Chennai (if available).
8. Fees by cash or DD as mentioned in the invitation letter.
9. If Transfer Certificate (TC) is not produced (or) the religion “Christian”  is not mentioned in the TC, if the candidate is a Christian, kindly produce a Christian Minority Certificate from the Head  of the School/Institution where the candidate last studied (as per the format given below)
10. Community Certificate (if available)
