DTE Maharashtra conducted MHT CET 2017The Directorate of Examination, Maharashtra conducted MHT CET 2017 on May 11 in the offline mode. MHT CET 2017 was a pen and paper based exam held across 46 districts in the state of Maharashtra. MHT CET was conducted for admission into various B.Tech courses offered by around 360 institutes in the state of Maharashtra.

This year, around 2 lakh students registered for the Maharashtra CET. Majority of the candidates who appeared in the exam found both paper I and paper II to be moderate. Most of questions asked in the exam were of similar difficulty level if compared to previous year.

In MHT CET 2017, candidates had to appear for two papers, Paper I and Paper II. Paper I was for Mathematics whereas Paper 2 comprised questions from Physics and Chemistry. Each paper was of 100 marks. In paper I, for every correct response candidates will be awarded 2 marks whereas for every correct answer in paper II, candidates will be allotted 1 mark. There is no deduction of marks for incorrect or unattempted questions. Candidates were given a duration of 1 1/2 hour to complete each paper.

Now, as the examination is over, various coaching institutes will release the answer key of MHT CET 2017 for all the sets of question booklet. The official answer key will be published by DTE Maharashtra within a day or two. With the help of the answer key candidates will be able to analyse their performance. On the basis of the correct and incorrect answers candidates will be able to calculate the probable score obtained by them in MHT CET 2017 exam.

The result of MHT CET will be announced on or before June 04, 2017 in the online mode. DTE Maharashtra will declare the result for all the candidates who have appeared on the entrance test. The result will display the subject wise score, aggregate score obtained by the candidates along with their qualifying status.

On the basis of the score obtained in MHT CET exam, DTE Maharashtra will invite application for admission and after verification of documents and eligibility, the merit list of all the qualified candidates will be published.

Based on the ranks obtained by candidates in the merit list, candidates will be called to participate in MHT CET 2017 counselling. The Counselling will be conducted through a Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for admission into various B.Tech programmes in around 360 State Government Colleges, University colleges, Private Unaided colleges and Government Aided Private Colleges in the state of Maharashtra.
