ya u re right at the end of the day merit must count in admissions or else why will people struggle for 2 years?????? if money can replace merit in sum elite pvt.. colleges............ nothing can get worse in indian education system............................

hey i also used to post some bad truths about vit in my many posts but after long discussion and searching i found that its not the complete truth about vit .............and it is not bad at all .....well flaws are everywhere ..............and most of the truths mentioned in various posts are just a rumour .....................eg....vit do have panel of great teachers and good placements its the truth while we found somethin else in the posts .............. well i would like to tell that most of us who are commenting on vit must have read the post at goiit named "truth about vit" well i personally confirmed about that inst frm facebook and my few frnds studyin there .................. yaar agar vit apne rank badane ke liye paisa khilata hai to kya baaki universities bhikari hai jo paisa nahi khila sakti aur itni achi pos pe ona koi mazaak nahi hai ........................mai pehle khud confusion mai tha just see my preious posts i also criticized vit a lot but truth is truth ...............don't just advice somebody on readin such comments ye koi official post nahi hai ....ye bhi to hum jaise bache hi likte hai

agree with abhishek........... last year i was also scared by reading these rubbish articles abt the life in vit...... but now when i completed 1 year in vit................ i can say its nothing like that...........also that thing was written long time ago and it is brought to notice to the freshers every year

Please top spreading rumours about VIT. First of all VIT takes students on "merit" basis alomst 8--90%. It has management quota only 10%(roughly) . I would say it is better than the process wch is followed in many govt colleges,i.e., "caste based reservation". U get admission into VIT if u have good rank. Or u r so much intrested and u didnt get a rank then u can enter through management quota. And yeah i would like to remind ppl u wont just like that get a management seat as well. U need to score a rank in VITEEE below 50,000.Thats management policy of how to take students. Who r we to comment on it. The things we have to take into consideration is 

1.Is the academics and extra curriculars good in VIT?

ans: Yes ,VIT has its own well prepared curriculum following many foreign universities. It also follows FFCS(fully flexible Credit system) where u r allowed to choose ur subjects,teachers. VIT has mindblowing infrastructure(I just dont mean by building wch u see from out side). It has so many labs and many facilities for research(if u r intrested). And extra curriculars,yes it has wide range of them. VIT has so many clubs(sports,music,dance,redcross) there is always place for u if u intrested.

No one pushes u in VIT to study or to participiate. U should have ur own intrest to do things. If u r really intrested and VIT is the best place to learn and excel

2. Are the placements good in VIT?

ans: Yes VIT strives a lot to provide placements to all its students. Though with its huge strength it manages to place all students. Again it depends on students how well he performed thru out his clg life and how well he performs in placement interviews to get a good package job.I have seen many of my frds studying in some local colleges. Though they have good percentages ,they are not placed by the time they come out of the college

NOTE: there are always pros and cons in every college and every system. If u start looking at the negative part u will never be able to njy the good things. There might be lil flaws in VIT college as well.But i would suggest to look the postives . AND PS VIT doesnt give any money to magazines to publish the things wch r not true. What ever r published they r actually true abt VIT
