DASA 2017 Eligibility Criteria – The candidates applying for admission in UG engineering courses through DASA 2017 must go through the Eligibility Criteria of DASA 2017. All the criteria related to the age, nationality, academic details must be satisfied by the university, else the candidates will be considered as ineligible for the admissions. If the candidates fail to satisfy the DASA Eligibility Criteria 2017, then they will not be granted admission. The candidates must be a foreign national, non-resident Indian, persons of Indian origin or the students studying abroad. Based on the SAT subject test scores, the candidates will be allotted seats. DASA 2017 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates applying for DASA 2017 must satisfy the eligibility criteria for the admission in the participating institutes. Go through the criteria of age, residential, qualifications below.
Only the candidates who were born on or after October 01, 1991 will be eligible for the admission. The birth date recorded in the secondary education board/university certificate (class X or equivalent) or any certificate issued by the government authorities will be considered authentic.
The academic eligibility criteria of the candidates will also be considered for the admission in various undergraduate courses in engineering.
- Applicants must have passed the qualifying examination or equivalent from any system of education as recognised by the Association of Indian Universities.
- The candidates must have completed Mathematics, Physics and any one of the subjects from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology) in XI and XII class from the respective boards.
- The applicant must have secured the minimum of at least 60% marks taken together in all the subjects of 10+2 examination or 6.50 CGPA or equivalent in the qualifying examination.
Any aspirants applying through DASA must have scored a minimum score of 1440 in SAT subject test, which includes Mathematics level 2, Physics and Chemistry.
The candidates are advised that the SAT scores must be directly sent by the College Board to the Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur. It must be noted by the candidates to indicate institute code while filling the application form of SAT. Through this, the scores will be directly sent to the coordinating institute.
All the candidates who have applied for multiple attempts in SAT subject test will be required to send the valid score to VNIT Nagpur from College Board.
The applicant appearing for admission through DASA 2017 must be a foreign national, person of Indian origin, overseas citizens of India. However, the candidates must have passed the qualifying examination from any country including India. Or,
The citizens of India studying abroad will be eligible for admission. Such candidates should have completed their XI and XII or equivalent examination from outside India.
DASA 2017 Reservation Criteria
As per the regulations of All India Council of Technical Education, the one-third seats will be reserved for the Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries (CIWG). But, if the seats will be vacant, the seats will be converted to the quota of 2/3 of other categories of DASA 2017. However, the DASA 2017 Eligibility Criteria for such candidates will be the same as for NRIs. The candidates under this category will have to submit the relevant identity proof. The countries under CIWD reservation are- Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia and The United Arab Emirates.
