COMEDK UGET is held by the Karnataka Private Medical & Dental Colleges Association under the name of Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) for admission of Karnataka candidates to the First year or First semester of full time courses in Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Unani, Homoeopathy, Naturopathy & Yoga, Engineering, Technology and Architecture courses in institutions within the State of Karnataka.

COMEDK UGET 2012 Eligibility:-
Medical:- Candidates should have passed 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent examination, recognized by State / Central Government with minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject ( 40% marks in PCB for SC, ST and OBC)
Engineering :- Candidates should have passed 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent examination, recognized by State / Central Government with minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) with English as a compulsory subject ( 40% marks in PCM for SC, ST and OBC)

COMEDK UGET 2012 Pattern:-
A single test is conducted for Physics and Chemistry subjects, in which there are 120 questions in all – 60 for Physics, and 60 for Chemistry. The duration of this test is 120 minutes.
Biology and Mathematics paper has 60 questions each with duration of 60 minutes.
All questions are objective and multiple-choice type and average time for one question is roughly one minute.
Scoring and Grading of COMEDK UGET Exams
No negative marking is done in COMEDK UGET. You are awarded one mark for the correct answer and no marks are awarded if candidates indicate more than one option as the correct answer. However, in case of a tie, least negative response (or lesser number of wrong answers) is given preference.
The preference, in case of a tie for Engineering candidates, is accorded in the following order:
1. Least negative response in:
1. Physics
2. Mathematics
3. Chemistry
2. Aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics in the Entrance Test
3. Marks in Mathematics in the Entrance Test
4. Age of the Candidate with preference to the elder candidate
