Notification for WBJEEM 2015 has been released by West Bengal examination board. Notification states updates syllabus and official exam dates of WBJEEM 2015. As per WEBJEE 2015 notification exam will be conducted on 18th – 19th April, 2015.

WBJEEM is conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. It is the biggest exam conducted by the state of West Bengal. For this reason, aspirants seeking admission in Medical and Engineering courses offered by colleges of West Bengal look forward to WBJEEM.  WEBJEE 2015 is for in take of candidates in Under Graduate courses like BE/B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Pharm and MBBS/BDS.

Every year WBJEEM is conducted in two dates. Dates are reserved Engineering and Medical exam. This year exam will be conducted on 18th April, 2015 and 19th April, 2015. Alteration this years, in WBJEEM, is done considering the factors below:
i) Students from no particular school/Board should get preferential treatment.
ii) More descriptive topics have been either omitted or given less importance than the analytical ones.
iii) Stress has been laid more on depth of the syllabi rather than the extent of coverage

Aspirants of engineering will write WEBJEE 2015 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, where as aspirants of Medical will write it with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. As per the WEBJEE 2015 notification, syllabus of WBJEEM 2015 has been changed. As per previous year pattern, provision for negative marking will be there in WBJEEM 2015. Question type in exam will be multiple choice and candidates will have to opt one answer. Exam will be of 2 hours.
Detailed brochure of WBJEEM 2015 is due shortly. Dates for release of application form will be announced in it. Eligibility criteria will also be announced in official brochure but it is expected that will be same as before. As per it, to write WEBJEE 2015 candidates should be citizen of India and should have passed qualifying exam from a State or Government recognized board.

TNEA stands for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions, an admission procedure administered by Anna University, Chennai for admissions in the B.E. / B.Tech. Degree courses in the University Departments/Colleges, Government and Government Aided Engineering Colleges in the Tamil Nadu.

TNEA 2015 Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicants must have studied Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects in class XII and should have obtained at least 50% aggregate marks in the three subjects taken together, 45% minimum aggregate marks for Backward Class including Backward Class Muslim, minimum 40% aggregate marks for MBC and DNC and minimum 35 % for SC/ST/SCA category candidates.

  • Sri Lankan Tamil Refugees are also eligible to apply provided they produce the relevant supporting documents at the time of counselling.

  • Applicants residing in Tamil Nadu state from five years or those who have completed last five years of their education from Class VIII-XII in the state can also apply.

  • Applicants from Tamil Nadu state who have completed last five years of their education from the state other than Tamil Nadu can also apply at the condition of submitting the Nativity Certificate.

TNEA 2015 Important Dates (Tentative)

TNEA 2015 Admission Procedure will commence in May 2015. Students from the Tamil Nadu state only will be allowed to participate in the TNEA 2015. Anna University doesn’t conduct the entrance exam; the selection of the deserving students will be done on the basis of their performance in the class 12th final examination.

TNEA 2015 Application Fees:

The applicants will be required to remit the application fee for successful application. The fee details are given here below:

  • The applicants will be required to pay the amount of Rs. 500/- as the application fee while the applicants belonging to SC/ST/SCA categories will have to pay Rs. 250/- towards application fee.
  • The application fee is payable by Demand Draft only. The DD is to be in drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of “ The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions”, payable at Chennai,
  • All the applicants must mention they name and address on the back side of the DD.
  • It’s advised to keep a photocopy of the DD with you for future records.

TNEA 2015 Application Form

TNEA 2015 Application Form and the prospectus will be made available in the 1st /2nd week of May 2015. The eligible and interested applicants will be required to submit their applications to participate in the admission procedure for engineering admissions. TNEA 2015 Application form can be submitted online by the following way-

  • Log on to the official website of TNEA 2015

  • Click on the link “Apply Online” TNEA 2015 Application Form

  • Enter the required details carefully in the blank spaces in the application form

  • Enter the details of fee paid by demand draft

  • After putting the details, verify the information before finally submitting the application form.

  • Once you have submitted, generate a print of the application form.

  • Send the hard copy of the submitted application form along with the Demand draft to the address given here: The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions, Anna University, Chennai – 600 025

  • The applicants would be required to personally visit any of the designated TNEA application centre and purchase the application form by making payment of the requisite application fee in cash

  • The list of the TNEA 2015 Application Centres will be published on the TNEA 2015 website.

  • SC/ST/SCA applicants from Tamil Nadu will have to produce the photocopy of the permanent community card to avail the application form for concession.

  • Once you get the application form, fill the complete details and send the filled-in Application form to the aforementioned address.

  • The applicants can send a request letter to the The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions, Anna University, Chennai – 600 025 to post the application form to you. Along with the letter, attach Demand draft of Rs. 700/- (Rs.450 /- SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu with a photocopy of the permanent community card) and a self addressed (CAPITAL LETTERS) stamped envelope to which the application forms is to be mailed.

TNEA 2015 Result, Counselling

Anna University will scrutinize the score of the applicants and will publish TNEA 2015 Rank list tentatively in the 3rd week of June 2015. The applicants who will be shortlisted will see their names in the rank list. So, the shortlisted candidates will be called to attend the counselling procedure for seat allotment. The TNEA 2015 Counselling schedule will be notified on the official website. The candidates will have to mark their choices of the course and colleges after which the choices of the candidates will be processed and seats will be allotted to the candidates based on their ranks.

IIST will organise counselling for those candidates only who will score more that the determined cut off of IIST 2015 and will secure position in JEE Advanced merit list. IIST offers B.Tech course in space science. For in take of candidates in these courses it does not conduct its own exam, instead, considers JEE Advanced merit. When the result of JEE Advanced will be declared, IIST 2015 counselling will be organised.

IIST 2015 Counselling

IIST 2015 counselling is due in June, 2015. It is the usual time period when it is conducted. Only after the issue of official notification official date for IIST 2015 counselling will be issued.

IIST, calls only those candidates for counselling who clear JEE Advanced merit and score upto or more that IIST cut off. There are very limited seats in IIST. So, it is not necessary that every candidate, who will be called for IIST 2015 counselling, will be granted seat in IIST B.Tech course.

Counselling will be held as per the rank list. Rank list will be published category wise. Separate Rank List will be published for General Category, OBC (Non- Creamy Layer), Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe and Physically Disabled

IIST 2015 Counselling – Procedure

Candidates will have to register themselves online, through official website, for IIST 2015 counselling.In few days, admit card of IIST 2015 will be issued to candidates. Candidates can again download it from the official website. Steps for IIST 2015 counselling are as below:

  • Access the official website of IIST.
  • Click on link directing to ‘IIST 2015 counselling registration’
  • Enter all the required information.
  • Fill the choice for center of counselling.
  • Download IIST 2015 admit card.

IIST 2015 Counselling – Document Verification

In IIST counselling, candidates will be asked to produce certain documents for verification. Candidates should make sure that all of these documents must be available when asked for. Required documents in IIST 2015 counselling are:

  • Mark sheet of class X and XII.
  • Certificate of Caste for SC, ST and OBC candidates. It should be in prescribed format.
  • Document proving that Physically Disabled is 40% disabled. Candidates will have to produce original certificate issued by District Medical Board or Competent Authority.
  • JEE Advanced Admit Card
  • JEE Advanced All India Rank Card

General Instructions for IIST 2015 Counselling

  • Candidates parents, who will accompany their ward in counselling, should bring their valid ID prove.
  • Candidates are advised to reach counselling an hour before the allotted time.
  • Candidates who wish to serve ISRO and DOS will have to fill a bond of surety. This bond will ensure that candidates will serve these institutes after the completion of their course.

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) offers admission to eligible candidates in B.Tech course. For in take of candidates, it considers JEE Advanced scores and merit. But IIST issues its own cutoff instead of utilizing JEE Advanced cutoff. This article is about IIST 2015 Cut Off, details regarding it are summarized in this here.

IIST 2015 Cut Off

Cut off is minimum marks required to qualify an exam. IIST 2015 cut off is the standard marks which a candidate must score, in JEE Advanced, to be eligible for admission in IIST B.Tech courses. IIST itself determined it’s cut off and candidates can check through the official website.

Usually cut off is determined on the basis of various factors. Since,IIST do not conducts its own exam the criteria of it’s cut off differs a little. Number of application received, availability of seats, previous year cut off and JEE Advanced cut off is taken into consideration while determining the IIST 2015 cut off.

Previous Year IIST 2015 Cut off

Eligibility Criteria are certain rules and norms which all the candidates must fulfill or match to be eligible to write an exam or be recruited or to receive admission in particular institute. IIST 2015 eligibility criteria are such laid down norms which a candidate must fulfill to receive admission in course offered by IIST.

IIST 2015 Eligibility Criteria

Since, IIST grants admission on the basis of JEE Advanced merit, candidates must fulfill the JEE Advanced 2015 eligibility criteria and should qualify JEE Advanced 2015. Apart from this, rest of the IIST 2015 Eligibility Criteria as below:

  • Candidate should be citizen of India.
  • Candidate must be born on or after 1st October 1999. For SC, ST, PwD candidates relaxation on this criteria is that they must be born on or after 1985. Candidate’s age should match with that in his/ her X and XII mark sheet.
  • Candidate must have secured 70% in qualifying exam. Qualifying exam should have been passed with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • For SC, ST and PwD above mentioned criteria is 60% aggregate in qualifying exam (with PCM).

IIST 2015 Eligibility Criteria – List of Qualifying Exam

Qualifying exams under IIST 2015 includes:

  • Class XII exam from a recognized Institute or any similar recognized University/ Institute.
  • Pre-University examination. University should be recognized.
  • Final year exam of National Defence Academy. Two year course of Joint Service Wing.
  • Final exam of Vocational Higher Secondary course.
  • SSC exam which is conducted by National Institute of Open Schooling. In this candidates must have at least five subjects.
  • GCE (General Certificate Education) exam of Advanced (A) level (London / Cambridge /Sri Lanka).
  • HSC exam of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
  • If qualifying exam is not public then candidates must have passed at least one public exam earlier.

IIST 2015 Reservation of Seats

IIST takes admission through JEE Advanced but has its own reservation criteria. IIST 2015 reservation of seats defined that certain percentage of total available seats which are booked for particular section of society. IIST 2015 reservation of seats is for candidates who belong to backward or under represented communities. During the counselling round, candidates belonging to reserved category will be entitle to these reserved seats. To claim reserved seats candidates, should have necessary documents like certificate of category or any other such certificate. If candidate fail to produce them they will be considered as general candidates. IIST 2015 reservation of seat is for candidates belonging to Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe and Other Back Ward (Non-Creamy Layer) category.

Candidates wonder in confusion when they don’t receive their admit card in time. This usually happens when application form or challan or documents are not received by exam conducting university in time. IIST 2015 Application Form Status

IIST 2015 application form status portal will be provided after candidate has filled their application form and have completed application form filling procedure successfully. The complete procedure of registering for IIST is that candidates must register themselves in the official website. Once the registration is done candidates will have to fill application form. All the information in application form must be correct and updated. Last step is to pay application fee. Application fee will be payed via challan. Challan will be system generated and candidates can download it from the official website. Hard copy of challan and application form is to be send to IIST in prescribed address.

Once all of these formalities are done, candidates can log in with their id and password and can check whether their application and challan receipt have been delivered to IIST or not.

How to Check IIST 2015 Application Form Status

To check IIST 2015 Application Form Status candidate can follow the steps below:

  • Access the official website of IIST 2015, www.iist.ac.in
  • Login with id and password which was formed during application form filling procedure.
  • Click on the link stating ‘IIST 2015 Application Form Status’
  • Candidate will be able to check their application form status. If application form has been received by institute status will be received. If IIST has not received candidates application form status will be not received.

If status remains not received for a long period of time candidates should inform IIST about it. They will assist candidates with appropriate solution regarding it.
