CCMT 2017 Seat Allotment – The Seat Allotment of CCMT is being conducted in online mode. SVNIT Surat has announced the second list of CCMT 2017 seat allotment on May 29. The CCMT seat allotment process started from May 21. The seat allotment of CCMT 2017 along with CCMT cutoff ranks has also been announced by the admission body. Understanding CCMT and Seat Allotment
There are certain factors about Seat Allotment of CCMT 2017, which the candidates must understand before knowing the process of it.
- The allotment of seats is done in all the rounds of CCMT 2017 Counselling. There are four rounds of counselling, including the spot round.
- The seat are only be allocated to those candidates who will Register for CCMT 2017 and fulfil the eligibility criteria of it.
- The allocation is done on the basis of the submitted preference for the course and colleges and GATE 2017/2016 score.
- The announcement of CCMT 2017 Seat Allotment is done online only.

Candidates should note that they will be needing the provisional allotment letter during the document verification round of CCMT 2017 Counselling. Hence, they must keep it safe.
CCMT 2017 Seat Allotment Process in Each Round
After the choice filling, the conducting body declares seat allotment result. The process to check has been explained above. Apart from that, the remaining process of CCMT 2017 Seat Allotment is as explained below:
Confirming Seat Online: Under CCMT 2017 there are four option of Freezing Floating, Sliding, and Withdraw. Freezing means that the candidate is satisfied with the allotment and want to accept the fee. The remaining options have been explained below in the article. However, if the candidates choose the Freezing option then they are required to confirm the provisional allocation.
For confirming, the candidates have to remit seat acceptance fee. It is around Rs. 1000 and can be paid online and offline. The online mode to pay the fee are Net Baking, Debit/Credit Card and offline can be submitted through SBI e-challan.
Reporting at the Reporting Centre: Next, the candidates must report at any of the CCMT 2017 Reporting Centre. The list of the centres announced along with the information brochure. At the centre, the document verification is being done. The documents are to be carried in original and as self-attested photocopy. The list of documents required at the RC are as below:
- Passport size photograph, minimum 3
- confirmation page of the application form
- Choice filling proof
- Provisional seat allotment letter
- payment slip for the seat acceptance
- GATE score card, for respective year
- ID proof, which has candidate’s photograph as well
- Class X mark sheet or Birth certificate/

- Conduct Certificate
- Transfer certificate
- Course completion certificate
At the Reporting Centre, the candidate has the choice to opt for Float, Slid, or Withdraw. The floating options mean that the candidates prefer higher choices across the institutes. The sliding option, on the other hand, will indicate that the candidates choose to be considered higher preference in the same institute.
Withdrawal of Seat: Candidates seeking withdrawal of seats will also be required to approach the same reporting centre, from where they went for document verification. The candidates will have to submit Provisional Seat Allotment Letter, proof of fee payment and Document Verification Certificate and filled Withdrawal Form. The candidates withdrawing the seats will not be considered for remaining rounds of CCMT 2017 Seat Allotment. However, they may register again for the spot round. The institute fee will be refunded to these candidates but as per the norm of the respective institute.
CCMT 2017 Seat Allotment in NSR
In NSR those seats will be allotted, which will remain vacant even after the third round of CCMT Counselling. New registration will be done for spot round and candidates will have the opportunity to submit choices again as well.
The process of Seat Allotment for CCMT NSR will be same as that for the other rounds of counselling. The allotment will be revealed online and the candidates will have to pay the application fee and report at the centres.
However, in this round, the fee amount will be Rs. 42000 for OC/OBC/General category candidates. The fee amount for the candidate belonging to SC/ST is Rs. 11500.
CCMT 2017 Seat Allotment Tie-Braker
If due to any circumstances, the same seat is being allotted to multiple candidates the following method will be used to break the tie:
- Preference will be given to GATE qualifiers of the year 2016 over GATE 2017 qualifier.
- If the year of GATE is same, candidates with higher marks out of 100 will be allocated seat.
- If the issue still prevails, the candidates will be allocated a seat on the basis of Random Tie Breaking Rank Generation.
