CBSE declares JEE Main 2017 result; General Cut off goes downThe Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced JEE Main 2017 result along with AIR and cutoff on April 27. To check the result, the candidates require registration number/ roll number and password that they created while applying for JEE Main exam. On submitting the required credentials, the candidates will be able to download the scorecard. It must be noted that the result can only be checked online. Scorecard will not be sent to the candidates through post.

JEE Main 2017 Cut off goes down by 19 marks for general category candidates. For other category wise JEE Main 2017 cut off refer the table below.

JEE Main exam 2017 was conducted on April 2 (offline mode) and April 8 & 9 (online mode). Over 10.2 lakh students appeared for JEE Main exam for admissions to B.Tech and B.E programmes offered by National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs). Also, on the basis of JEE Main score, the candidates are shortlisted for JEE Advanced exam.

JEE Main 2017 AIR

Along with the result of JEE Main exam, CBSE has also released All India Rank (AIR) obtained by candidates. AIR has been determined on the basis of marks scored by candidates in JEE exam. On the basis of AIR candidates will be called for counselling for allotment of seats.

The students who meet the cutoff criteria can register for JEE Advanced exam from April 28 to May 2 (until May 4 with late fee). A good rank in JEE Advanced exam will make it easier for the candidates to realize their dream of studying in the most prestigious engineering institutes in India – Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
