RPET 2011 FAQS

Q1. What is the eligibility criteria for admission?

Ans. The minimum academic qualification for admission to B.Tech./B.E. program in Rajasthan is a pass in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) of Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto by Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan.

Q2. What is the criteria for reservation of seats?

Ans. The criteria for reservation of seats is as follows:

  • For Rajasthan students :- 85% seats reserved ( Based on RPET 2011 score )
  • For other states :- 15% seats reserved ( Based on AIEEE 2011 score )

Q3. Is it a state level exam or an All-India exam?

Ans. It is a state level exam

Q4. When will the application forms be available?

Ans.  The forms will be available in the last week of February.

Q5. When is the entrance exam to be held?

Ans. The entrance exam is to be held in the 3rd week of May.

Q6. What is the maximum age limit for the exam?

Ans. Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1985 are eligible. However, in

the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Handicapped (PH)

candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PH candidates who were born on or

after October 01, 1980 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education marksheet /

certificate only will be taken as authentic.

Q7. How is the examination scheme like?

RPET-2010 shall consist of single examination of three hours duration containing 40 objective type

questions in each of the subjects of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. The total no. of questions

will be 120 carrying one mark each. There will be no negative marking for wrong answer. The

questions in the test booklet will be both in Hindi as well as in English.

Q8. What is the cost of application form?

Ans. The cost of the form is Rs. 700.

IM BORN IN RAJ. BUT I LIVE AND HAVE STUDED IN MUMBAI.
I EVEN DO NOT HAVE RAJ. DOMICILE. BUT MY PARENTS ARE BORN AND BROUGHT IN RAJ.
SO CAN I APPEAR IN RPET 2012.
