SAAT 2011 Counseling Latest Updates (As on 13/07/2011):

Online Registration for 3rd Round Counseling Application invited from AIEEE-2011 rank holders (upto  AIR - 500000) for admission into B.Tech. programme at ITER. Candidates will be called for counseling on the basis of AIEEE-2011(AIR) only.

ADMISSION RULES FOR AIEEE 2011

1. A candidate can seek admission at the counseling only against a valid AIEEE 2011 Rank Card and Call letter.

2. The original certificates will be verified at the time of counseling. Two sets of attested photocopies of all certificates are to be deposited at the time of counseling.

3. A candidate selected through the counseling for a course in an Institute automatically is admitted as a registered student of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University. The student receives a University Registration Card and a registration number.

4. A candidate has to pay 35,000/- (Non-refundable) at the time of Registration through an A/C Payee Demand Draft / Pay Order in favour of SIKSHA O ANUSANDHAN UNIVERSITY, Bhubaneswar drawn on any Nationalized Bank payable at Bhubaneswar which will be adjusted towards admission fee subsequently.

5. A candidate who accepts a registration card for admission into the allotted Institute, forfeits the fee paid by him/her at the time of counseling, if he/she decides not to join the Institute and the course.

6. The AIEEE 2011 Rank Card and Call letter of the admitted candidate shall be surrendered during counseling to prevent admission of a candidate to more than one course in the same institute.

7. A candidate has to satisfy the eligibility criteria as mentioned in the information brochure of SAAT 2011 & in this counseling brochure, for admission to different programmes of the University.

COUNSELING PROCEDURE : GUIDELINES FOR CANDIDATES

1. Please bring your AIEEE-2011 Rank Card and Call letter along with other documents. You will be required to produce the AIEEE-2011 Rank Card and Call letter at the time of entry to Counseling Hall.

2. Please bring your AIEEE-2011 Rank Card and Call letter, all original Certificates and two sets of attested photo copies of all certificates arranged in order as advised in the Check List for verification during Counseling.

3. Please note that only one person (Parent / Guardian) will be permitted to accompany the candidate to the counseling venue.

4. You are to report at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time on the date of the counseling. Late comers, reporting after the scheduled time for counseling will not be allowed.

5. You are advised to take your seat at the Counseling Hall and wait till your name or rank number is announced.

6. On announcement of your Name & Rank, please follow the steps as described below :

  • After signing the attendance register the candidate is required to move to the Verification Counter for his / her document verification. Please arrange your original documents (certificates / mark sheets / other documents in support of the reservation, if any, you are claiming) serially as per the LIST OF DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR VERIFICATION before coming to the verification counter.
  • Thereafter the candidate is required to fill-in the Seat Choice Form.
  • After verifying the availability of seats on the screen displayed constantly and sign the same before proceeding to Seat Allocation Counter.

a) You are advised to fill in the seat choice form using the correct name of the institute and its LETTER CODE along with name of the discipline and its LETTER CODE. The institute and discipline codes are supplied with this booklet to help you fill-in the Seat choice form correctly.

b) Seat allotment will be made on the basis of the choices filled in by you in the Seat Choice Form based on the seats available. No change will be allowed in the choice form after seat allotment is made. SOA University is not responsible if a candidate does not get a seat of his / her choice because of wrong choice.

III. After allotment the candidate is required to deposit the Demand Draft of 35,000/ in the draft collection counter.

IV. Then the candidate is required to move to the Registration Counter to collect his/ her seat allotment letter stating the Institute and Branch / Discipline to which the candidate will be admitted. The University Registration Card shall be handed over to the candidate after he/she puts his/her signature.

V. Physically Handicapped candidates have to secure their medical certificate from IMS & SUM Hospital on 7th July between 10.00 AM to 2.00 PM.

AS PER THE NEW ELIGIBILITY NORMS LAID DOWN BY AICTE, FEW CHANGES HAVE BEEN INCORPORATED FOR SAAT 2011

For admission to B.Tech programme, candidates have to pass the qualifying examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subject along with one of the following subjects : Chemistry / Biotechnology / Compute Science / Biology, by securing atleast 50% marks taken together in the subjects mentioned (45% in case of candidates belonging to
SC / ST category).
