About NSIT
Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) under the Faculty of Technology, University of Delhi, will be admitting students for its 06 full time B.E. Programs, on the basis of merit rank of All India Engineering Entrance Examination – 2011 (AIEEE 2011) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on May 01,2011. The Institute is affiliated to the University of Delhi for its Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Ph.D. programs and is fully funded by the Government of NCT of Delhi. Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology has carved a name for itself for excellence in technical education and research, both nationally and internationally. The Institute is housed in a beautifully landscaped campus sprawling over 145 acres of land, complete with all facilities.
The Undergraduate Engineering (B.E.) courses at NSIT are available in the disciplines:
- Electronics & Communication Engg.
- Computer Engineering
- Instrumentation and Control Engineering
- Manufacturing Processes

Admission Procedure:
This year, NSIT and DTU (Formerly DCE) will take admissions through AIEEE 2011 ranks:
There is an 85% quota for Delhi candidates (i.e. candidates who have done their 12th from Delhi)and 15% outside Delhi Quota. Admission is done on the basis of AIEEE merit for both Delhi and outside Delhi candidates.
Eligibility Criteria Of NSIT 2011 :-
Documents required at the time of Admission:
For Delhi and outside Delhi Region (except the nominees of Govt. of India) the candidate should have appeared in AIEEE-2011 and have been declared eligible for Central Counselling by the CBSE.
Educational Qualifications:
For Delhi Region Candidates (85% of seats)
A candidate passing any of the following examinations from a recognized School/College/Institute located within the National Capital Territory of Delhi only and securing 60 % or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, shall be eligible for admission to the first semester of Bachelor of Engineering Course provided he/she has passed in each subject separately:
(i) Senior School Certificate Examination (12-year course) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E.), New Delhi.
(ii) Indian School Certificate Examination (12-year course) of the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
(iii) Any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior School Certificate Examination of the C.B.S.E. by the University of Delhi.
(iv) B.Sc. (Gen.) Group “A” Final Examination of the University of Delhi or equivalent examination.
(v) B.Sc. (Hons.) Examination in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of the University of Delhi with combination of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and equal weightage to the subsidiary subject or equivalent examination.
For Outside Delhi Region Candidates (15% of seats) :
A candidate passing any of the following examinations from a recognized School/College/Institute located outside the National Capital Territory of Delhi only and securing 60 % or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics shall be eligible for admission to the First Semester of Bachelor of Engineering Course provided he/she has passed in each subject separately:
(i) Senior School Certificate Examination (12-Year Course) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E.) New Delhi.
(ii) Indian School Certificate Examination (12-year Course) of the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
(iii) Any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior School Certificate Examination of the C.B.S.E. by the University of Delhi.
(iv) B.Sc. (Gen.) Group “A” Final Examination of the University of Delhi or equivalent examination.
(v) B.Sc. (Hons.) Examination in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of the University of Delhi with combination of Physics, Chemistry, mathematics and equal weightage to the subsidiary subject or equivalent examination.
A candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study either at the 10th Class level or 12th Class level (core or elective).
