About Exam (MPPET):

Madhya Pradesh Pre-Engineering Test(MP PET 2011) is for admission to Bachelor in Engineering(B.E.) course in various technical institutes in Madhya Pradesh. Every year many students across Madhya Pradesh appear for Madhya Pradesh PET to get admission in the best engineering institutes in Madhya Pradesh.

Madhya Pradesh Pre Engineering Test(MP PET 2011) is an examination conducted by Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board. There are 159 institutes in Madhya Pradesh offering Bachelor of Engineering(B.E.) courses through Madhya Pradesh PET. 90% seats in the Government/Aided colleges are reserved for Madhya Pradesh candidates, 5% for Outside MP candidates and 5% for NRIs. For Private Self-financing institutes 75% of seats are reserved for MP candidates, 20% seats for Outside MP candidates and 5% seats for NRI candidates

Eligibility Criteria(MPPET):

A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2010 can also apply. Also a candidate should not be more than 21 years(24 years for SC/ST)

Those applying for Madhya Pradesh seats against MP Quota should have a Madhya Pradesh domicile for which a candidate should have atleast been educated for atleast 3 consecutive years in the last 5 years in an institution in Madhya Pradesh.

Reservation of seats :

• For Madhya Pradesh candidates in the Government / Aided colleges :- 90% seats reserved ( Based on MP-PET 2011 score)
• For Madhya Pradesh candidates in Private Self-Financing Institutes :- 75% seats reserved ( Based on MP-PET 20011 score )
• For other states candidates in the Government / Aided colleges :- 5% seats reserved ( Based on MP-PET 2011 score )
• For other states candidates in the Private Self-Financing Institutes :- 20% seats reserved ( Based on MP-PET 2011 score )
• For NRIs in the Government / Aided colleges :- 5% seats reserved ( Based on MP-PET 2011 score )
• For NRIs in Private Self-Financing Institutes :- 5% seats reserved ( Based on MP-PET 2011 score )
