In a first, the Delhi Technological University - formerly known as the Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) - began admissions to its B.Tech degree courses for the academic session 2011-12 through online counseling on Tuesday.
DTU admission 2011 will not be conducted manually and the aspiring candidates need to log on to www.dtuadmissions.nic.in for applying to any of its 15 B.Tech programmes.
Admissions are based on ranks acquired in the AIEEE-2011.
P B Sharma, DTU's Vice Chancellor, told reporters that admission 2011 was divided into three parts. In the first phase starting June 7, candidates will be allowed to register online till June 15.
DTU will then ask eligible candidates to indicate subject preference between June 23-29. The final phase of admission will comprise allotment of seats which is expected to take place in the first week of July.
