Hall Activity
1. CENTAC Office, PEC Campus
Puducherry		 Counseling Venue and Reporting atleast half an before the counseling time according to your merit order /schedule
2. Waiting Area Candidates accompany with their parents /guardian and Wait in the counselling hall. Can see the seat availability matrix/vacancy in screen
3. Seminar Hall Candidate and any one of the Parent/guardian is allowed inside the seminar hall. Please note the instructions and arrange your certificates/documents in order.
Candidates shall decide their various options on seeing the seat matrix display
4. Certificate Verification Hall On submission of all your original documents our officers will verify the documents. Please cooperate with our verifying officers and also submit the Demand draft (Counseling fee). A Token which indicating your merit mark and other particulars shall be issued to each candidate.
5. Waiting Hall Welcome to final waiting hall. Large screen will display the seat availability details. Relax and come to a conclusion about the course and college
6. Single Window Counseling Point Hello you can exercise your option now and select a seat from the available seats .Other wise you can decline the seat also. Your choice will be locked. Change of option is not permitted
7. Provisional allotment order collection point Collect your Provisional allotment order and Original documents.Before leaving the CENTAC office check all your original documents and Provisional allotment order
8. Reporting Center According to the joining date given in the order please report at the respective college with all your original certificates/allotment order and fees prescribed by the concerned Institute.

Note: Any clarification or changes in the merit mark because of wrong entry/retotalling/revaluation/passing in the supplementary exams are advised to immediately report to the CENTAC office (Contact Number 0413-2655571, 2655281)

Certificates – Check list

Following Original documents are to be submitted by the candidate at the time of CENTAC counseling. Please arrange your documents as per the following order and keep ready for counseling.

1. Counseling call letter

2. Demand draft (Counseling fee prescribed as in the counseling call letter/ information bulletin).

3. SSLC Mark sheet

4. HSC Mark sheet

5. AIEEE Score card ( for other state candidates opting Engineering course – Candidates having AIEEE state code of eligibility as 27 shall produce sufficient documents to claim seat under this category i.e. B.Tech other states quota)

6. Certificate of birth

7. Transfer certificate

8. Conduct certificate

9. Health record/Medical Fitness certificate

10. Permanent Integrated Certificate/Residence and Community certificate

11. Nationality/Nativity/Residence/SC&ST Community certificate ( Other state candidates)

12. Certificate for regional reservation claim(Karaikal/Mahe/Yanam)

13. Certificate/(s) for special category allocation claim like FF/PH/EX/SP

a) FF – Freedom Fighter certificate and relevant link birth certificates issued by the Government of Puducherry
b) PH- Disability certificate issued by the competent authority of Government of Puducherry
c) EX- Certificate issued by the Director,DSW ,Government of Puducherry
d) SP- All sports certificate as prescribed by the candidate in the Sports proforma.

Merit mark and other particulars - Instruction cum Check list

Your selection/admission is purely based on the Merit marks/other claims. Hence you shall carefully check all your marks and claims made by you.

1. Merit mark calculation as per the procedure given in the website.

2. Biology based courses –Eligibility - aggregate marks in the prescribed subjects 50%(General) and 40% for other reserved category seats

3. Engineering – Eligibility-aggregate marks in the prescribed subjects 50%(General) and 45% for other reserved category seats

4. Pharmacy- Eligibility-aggregate marks in the prescribed subjects 50%(General) and 40% for other reserved category seats

5. Date of Birth

6. Domicile claim( UT of Puducherry/Other states)

7. Community claim(OBC/MBC/EBC/BCM/BT/SC/ST)

8. Special category/special allocation claim

9. Marks in the subjects

10. AIEEE marks for other state candidates applied for B.Tech

11. Number of appearance

12. Age limit

13. Improvement/Retotalling/Revaluation/Supplementary marks will be considered, Sample Merit mark calculation - B.Tech Programme

Merit mark calculation:

1. Converting actual marks into normalized marks Normalization of Marks

2. Since Tamilnadu H.Sc board Highest marks scored is 200 in all the subjects, hence actual marks are considered.

3. Merit mark = 200+190+199 / 3 = 196.333

NOTE: Once the Provisional Merit list is released, the candidates would be given three daystime to report any changes in the information pertaining to them on the list. CENTAC will scrutinize and incorporate all the changes requested by the candidate.
