About Exam(CENTAC JET 2011):

Pondichery Centralised Admission Committee Joint Entrance Test (CENTAC JET 2011) is an entrance examination conducted for admission to various courses like engineering, medical, dental and law in colleges of Pondicherry by Centralised Admission Committee. Admission through JET in B.Tech course is available in Pondicherry Engineering College(PEC) & Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Institute of Engg., & Tech., Karaikal.

There are a total of 450 seats available in Pondicherry Engineering College and 180 seats in Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Institute of Engineeringg & Technology. 85% seats in both colleges are reserved for Pondicherry candidates while rest of the seats are open to all India candidates. There is no entrance test for B.Tech. Admission is based on the marks secured in Mathematics, Physics and any one of the following optional subjects : Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology.
