A student has to be physically present during counseling. A student will not be admitted or put on wait list in absentia by providing an undertaking etc. If a student cannot attend due to medical reasons or any emergency reason, explicit written permission must be taken from the Admission Controller, IIIT-Delhi before the date of the counseling through email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The counseling will be done for the seats mentioned in the information brochure. Unfilled seats in the reserved categories will be converted as mentioned in the information brochure. Attending the counseling does not guarantee admission.

* OBC certificate: Candidates belonging to the OBC category are directed to bring a Non-creamy layer certificate issued after 31.03.2011 by the competent authority stating that they do not belong to Creamy Layer at the time of counseling/admission (alongwith their OBC certificate). Candidates who fail to produce the non-creamy layer certificate issued after 31.03.2011 during counseling may be considered if they produce the OBC certificate along with this undertaking on a Rs10 stamp paper and produce the required non-creamy layer certificate by 14th July, 2011 4PM.
